RebelRebel
Sounds like Lewis Rose may have been injured at Saddlebow Road tonight. Said he was taken to hospital after a crash in ht 10. Hope he is ok? If not where do we go for a NL guest? Tom Perry maybe? Lewis Bridger went with Lewis to hospital and has just wrote on Twitter that Lewis hasn't sustained any broken bones just some very painful bruising. Almost certainly out for tomorrow unless the docs come up with a magical painkiller.
Najjer
Met office now shows a bit of light rain early morning then no rain for the rest of the day, so should be ok Suns been out all morning
oldtimer
Now 2-45pm, Sun and cloud morning and still the same. The 2pm local weather forecast on BBC no rain our part of the West Country until midnight, local ITV forecast at 2-15 pm heavy rain showers and thunder, one of them must be wrong? Tonight's match should be easy win for Rebels, forecast 58 - 34. Bad luck for Simon Lambert with a suspected broken ankle riding for Sheffield at IPSWICH. He was third in heat 1 holding off the close attentions of Josh G, who was fourth and then a second in heat 2 before his crash. Perhaps a wrong decision in letting him go, hind sight is a wonderful thing.
jenga
looking at the zummerzet team, you may have a problem tonight against the bandits .r/r and two reserve guests. could be a shock away win for the border club.. OOPS just seen charlie boy is riding. so nice home win. Edited September 6, 2013 by jenga
Bandit59
Yeah right,I`ll never turn to the Darkside.Hope Robin turns up,he didn`t at Berwick on the Waspels tour, very poor, but he usually goes well at the OTA. Guess he did not turn up then
emilali
Aspergren obviously couldnt be bothered again tonight, how hes kept his place all season is really quite laughable. Hope Alden wont return next year either, same with Barret.
Robinh88
Two thoughts Maybe Berwick are happy with there riders scoring less points, after all it means less money tracking a solid 7 capable of scoring 50pts per home match minimum and 45 for away matches. Interesting to note our average points both home and away for 2013 If they find these performances unacceptable 1) why are the riders still here, 2) never anything in the media not that I am saying its good to put your dirty linen in public, but it would be nice too here along with all the compliments (some deserved), "that performance wass unacceptable, or our results over the season, and we will re-double our efforts for next season, to bring YOU the fans a team who can challenge and entertain." drew2
Aspergren obviously couldnt be bothered again tonight, how hes kept his place all season is really quite laughable. Hope Alden wont return next year either, same with Barret. I think he was bothered and looked to be trying hard but nothing was happening for him. He is usually very good at the OTA but just couldn't get it to work tonight. Made a ridiculous flyer in ht 7 as well (although the updates said it was Wethers) but went backwards on the slick surface. Starke deserved more than his points as well tonight. Lord Antebellum
That was a better meeting than the score suggested. Clearly the track had been watered less than usual, which was hugely understandable in view of always-threatening rain (which never actually arrived) and this took away the usual wide lines for the more-adventurous racers. Berwick all tried hard, but were generally out-gated in the latter part of the night, but never gave up. Charles Wright was adventurous to an extreme in his home debut. The meeting ran through quickly, always something going on. No complaints from me. A good night out.

screm
Another fairly predictable defeat for Berwick, but you`ll never get anywhere if you only provide one race winner all night. Two thoughts Maybe Berwick are happy with there riders scoring less points, after all it means less money tracking a solid 7 capable of scoring 50pts per home match minimum and 45 for away matches. Interesting to note our average points both home and away for 2013 If they find these performances unacceptable 1) why are the riders still here, 2) never anything in the media not that I am saying its good to put your dirty linen in public, but it would be nice too here along with all the compliments (some deserved), "that performance wass unacceptable, or our results over the season, and we will re-double our efforts for next season, to bring YOU the fans a team who can challenge and entertain." Agree with you about washing your dirty linen in public, but every now and again it never does any harm for the manager or promotion to come out and criticize certain riders and their performances, it might just give them the kick in the pants they need. If not then the riders become comfortable, thats something I believe has happened at Berwick. Edited September 7, 2013 by screm

I agree 100%, the scoreline doesn't reflect the fact that the Bandits were right in this for quite a while. the track was very slick, due to the non watering, totally understandable under the circumstances (very real threat of rain). Alden was a bit of an enigma, very fast in his first two but generally quite ineffective in other rides. I honestly thought Berwick had a chance of winning this after a handful of heats, infact without the efforts of Wright it could have been very very close. oldtimer
To be fair to Grajczonek, he had several looks at passing Lambert, but decided discretion was definitely the better part of valour, and settled for fourth. PS: Why the caps for Ipswich? Because one of our main rivals in Play Offs. Berwick kept it close (4 points) until Rebels 5-1 in heat 8, and slick track produced some good racing especially from Josh when missing the gate and Charles who was exploring all the lines at the Oak Tree. Charles Wright got man of the match a popular choice. R/R for Newman produced 3 points and R/R for Kozza Smith produced 4 so no excuses there. Alden said in the club house after the match that he thought Bellego did not know he was on a tactical in heat 11, hopefully he was joking. Lord Antebellum
I'm glad I went up for this. Had been going to SBA until cancelled, but had a fair night's entertainment. Having criticised the Rebels' team changes, I admit Charles Wright did everything Stefan might have achieved. Jury has to remain out on other change, of course. Nice that Rebels were publicly welcoming of "their friends, the Berwick promotion" -- were there any Bandits' fans there at all? Dick Barrie made an impassioned speech about fence-fund-raising (and proudly displayed his BMX ticket and Ashworth wristband) and has continued the long-term double act with Nigel T we enjoyed at the County Ground in years gone by. screm
For one Emilali you and I agree! Agree with you about Aspegren,in general he`s been poor this season so its time to get rid for me to.I thought Alden would've done far better then he has, Id still look at him for a team place as he`s an asset of the club but I can see why others would give him the chop to.
Starman2006
Good win for the Rebels last night. imo you need all four points at Sheffield to set up a real cracker next Friday..
