racers and royals
NO!!! Â He is being sensible if one of his TOP Riders is unavailable. Â Question: WOULD YOU DO IT? Of course-teams are doing it all the time-It`s called co-operation-it`s the end of the season,play-off deadline is rapidly approaching and a track specialist could have replaced him. I thought the idea was to turn up with Newcastle riders, not a team with guests in it? . It's not as if Plymouth are going to be in the Play-offs and seeing as Newcastle are just about there it surely is up to Newcastle whether they accepted the date offered, or not. Why pay a guest (possibly paying him more than Richie would get) when they should be looking after there own. From memory, George E roughly said that in the afternoon it looked like the wrong decision to call it off, but rain later on meant that it was the right call. Reading the star today Newcastle gave Plymouth advance notice of not making the 13th -so fair enough point conceded.

luluthetiger
Newcastle were also aware that they had riders -- and supporters -- involved in the Derek Sneddon Testimonial tomorrow (Derek was a valued and popular Diamond for some years). Â If this had been a must-race-before-the-deadline meeting with one of the clubs needing the points, the situation would have been quite different, but this way surely suits everyone. Â 'Deek' gets his riders and a few Geordie fans, Plymouth can extend their season -- and the memory of Tony Sanford can still be enjoyed tomorrow. dantodan
Hello Lulu, I think you are gorgeous (hic) must put more water in me whisky! Yeah Deeks meeting is more important to his Edinburgh/Newcastle fans than the Newcastle match at Plymouth whenever it will be. We turned down a possible date so what, it happens all the time
