English Riders Is Two Riders To Many If Made Compulsory.?

I am fairly certain that any efforts to restrict riders from EU countries is against the law. But no reason why restrictions should not be placed on riders from non-EU countries/ At least, that's my assesment of employment law as it currently stands.

Not sure why in good old G.B we continue to be terrorised by these so called EU laws..In the Polish league it states "each Extraleague team will be required to have at least 4 Polish riders per match and 2 of whom must be under 21.Poland are in the EU ,no problem with the B.S.P.A insisting on 2 Brits per team

But how can it be the Elite of the Elite When it has the premier League riders who are supposedly not the Elite of the Elite.

It's call the Elite because it's the top division in the Uk nothing more nothing less ...why fans have such a hang up about the name and even more so when most of them come from a league who name makes no sense of all is laughable . To get a name like the Elite you don't have to have the best riders in the world you don't even have to have the best riders in a uk all you need is to have the strongest set of the sides as it's team event .

WE DON'T!!!!

I think you should be thanking the Premier League orion. For keeping your 'so called' Elite? League going. It may be hard for you to admit - but - Without the Premier League - the Elite? League would be finished NOW!!!

So stop slagging off the Premier League - on the whole - it is a pretty good League. I find that MOST Teams riding against Newcastle turn up with MOST of their own Riders. Half the time Elite? League Clubs have to scramble around putting a Team out. What was it the other week - two of their OWN Riders, FOUR Guests plus Rider Replacement? My figures may be out - but not by much.

  Fine advert for Speedway isn't it? NOT!!

Not slagging off anyone just pointed out why it's has it's name ..but yet after explaining it you come up with the childish and silly so called El jibe again ... why people get so hung up on a name that just explains it the top division in terms of team strength in the uk is most odd ...

Spot on really that's what i like about the PL you generally no the 1- 7 of of most teams most weeks. The fans can identify with that as with the EL the opposite. Endless guests, R/R, D /Uppers. ( which they need bigtime ) missing everyweek changes galore.

One way of having two British riders in the teams would be to include 2 full reserve races instead of the usual one in heat 2, maybe another one....a heat 16 if you like. A decider....the emphasis would be on the 4 Brits to clinch the points....

Where would all these British riders come from? There are 16 British riders presently in the Elite League. A quarter of those ride for the Brummies, 3 more ride for Swindon with the rest distributed to the other teams, 6 of which don't meet the criteria. Someone who is keen to see this happen, please supply a list of 9 British riders of suitable quality, who aren't already on the EL GSA's to make up the numbers for the other teams. And while you are at it, please list out the 9 current riders who you would replace. These would need to be:

1 rider at Belle Vue (currently only 1 Brit)

2 riders at Eastbourne (currently no Brits)

1 rider at Kings Lynn (currently only 1 Brit)

2 riders at Peterborough (currently no Brits)

2 riders at Poole (currently no Brits)

1 rider at Wolverhampton (currently only 1 Brit)

Birmingham, Coventry, Swindon and Lakeside have at least 2 Brits each already.

The rule isn't about nationality, It's about the type of license you have, You need a PZM license.. You don't need to be polish.
