Recommended Posts

Well its coming up in less then 3 weeks I'm sure the line-up will be confirmed sometime this week but the way its the line-up could be something like.

Berwick - Kozza Smith (Alden not done enough meetings). (If Kozza Injured seriously after tonight it will be Matthew Wethers).

Edinburgh - Craig Cook and Theo Pijper

Glasgow - Anders Thomsen/Dakota North or James Grieives (Depending on if Thomsen or North has done enough meetings)

Ipswich - Morten Risager

Leicester - Magnus Karlsson

Newcastle - Richie Worrall

Plymouth - Mikkel Bech (If commitments allow).

Redcar - Micky Dyer

Rye House - Olly Allen

Scunthorpe - Josh Auty

Sheffield - Ricky Wells

Somerset - Jason Doyle and Nick Morris

Workington - Richard Lawson and Rene Bach

Doyle the favourite for me after last week's performance - the guy was head and shoulders above the rest.

Nice to Sheffield have got 2 riders (Wells and Lawson) to support!! I know that Wells isn't our No.1 on paper, but I don't think anybody (from Sheffield) would disagree that he deserves a shot given his away performances al season and his home performances over the last month.

Lawson, Cumbrian through and through and is A Comet end of.

Cookie and Doyley are defo the favourites for this but difficult to pick between them. Heat 1 could be a cracker with Owlerton specialists Lawson, Wells, Auty and Cook, especially with Cookie coming off gate 4 which can be a graveyard in opening heats at Owlerton.

Hopefully Ricky Wells can make the final, his recent form at Owlerton suggests he could go close.

why is L Bjerre not representing Leicester he appears to be top of the green sheet averages. Nothing personal but How can Seb be Berwicks rep he hasn't had many matches.?

I think it's a credibility thing . Alden is a current Berwick rider regardless of how many meetings he's ridden . With injuries catching up with clubs , you sometimes end up with the 4th and 5th averaged rider in this and they are hopelessly out of their depth . Riders have been stopped riding in these events before , through the silly not enough meetings thing , but it's always to the detriment of the competition . Thankfully that nonsense seems to be relaxed .

Agree with the credibility theme, but what was the criteria at the start of the season Ie the rule book.

No idea , rules get chopped and changed as the season progresses . But i believe it should be the club's current number 1 if possible , whether he's been there two months or two minutes .

NyI agree with your point ,but the sport really has to get its act together.

I agree with you,but as Paulco says theres so many rule changes through the season its little wonder that speedway is losing its credibility. As for Berwick,Kozza Smith should be our rider in the PLRC but hes injured,as per averages Mathew Wethers is next in line.
