toontrader
I m trying to work out how many fixtures they are planning on running. Season ticket price for Adult is £330. Car park season ticket is £30 Car park is normally £1.00 so thirty plus meetings? or maybe the car park charge is going up The adult admission was £14 so £330 represents about 24 meetings and you normally get a couple extra so say 26. 14 league matches 3 league cup in the group 2 x semi final and final of league cup 3 ko cup if they reach final 2 x round of northern fours and final as Darren mention in Speedway Star 2 x play off group 1 x play off final 1 x Tyne Tees Trophy 1 x Tyne Tweed Trophy That gives anything from 21 to 29 plus of course any replay from ko cup matches and pre season challenges. If this is right, season ticket looks good value According to this weeks Speedway Star, Brian Havelock has revealed that Newcastle are also having a pre-season Air Fence Challenge home and away with Workington

Lord Lucan
Quoting post 623 from Toontrader, Does this fixture list not now include the Ian Thomas Trophy, very short lived if it doesn't or was it always just going to be a one off? dantodan
So it's goodbye to the Worrall twins. The lads were very popular at Brough Steve is now riding in all three leagues and Richie in the top two. I wish them well and hope Steve develops into a top rider. Richie I hope will get into our national side and eventually become a GP rider. Andrew Tully is leaving too after just one season with us, good luck mr Tully and I am sure when he comes back riding for his new side he will rack up a big score. So who have we got for 2014:- not in any particular order 1. Ludvig Lindgren 2. Lewis Kerr 3. Christian Henry 4. Stuart Robson 5. Anton Rosen 6. Lewis Rose 7. Chris Schram A solid side as we had in 2013. This time around Ludvig has to be more consistent. His outside overtakes are brilliant and I look forward to watching him perform this facet of his skills in 2014 but! please Lude try and make the gate more often. Lewis Kerr has been so good so far in 2013 I am loath to mention his slight weakness, which is coming from behind. Maybe with an air fence he will go out wide more? Christian Henry is probably our best gater but he has also blasted around the outside too. If he has come through his injury I think Christian will do the biz for us again Robbo? We all hope Stuart will shake off the injury and be able once again to hit double figure scores. He is someone the younger riders look up to and his presence in the pits is another of Stuarts plusses Anton Rosen I think, came in earlier than planned, due to our injuries. So if he was to have been a signing for 2014 we now have a 2014 asset who has had some experience around the UK tracks in 2013. I like what I have seen from the rocket. Anton has already "hit the ground running" in 2013 and 2014 should be easier for him. Could be our number one later in the year Lewis Rose. A big question mark ? This guy is well thought of elsewhere let us hope that this Lewis like his namesake the Kerrminator can ride Brough Park well and pick up points around the country. Chris Shcram Chris is a battler and I always watch his heats keenly as you never know what he is going to do. Good luck Schrammbo I hope you get amongst the points. Season 2014 is Newcastle Brough Parks 85 birthday. Maybe after 2 months. I think our team should look like (in order) 1. Ludvig Lindgren 2. Christian Henry 3. Stuart Robson 4. Lewis Kerr 5. Anton Rosen 6. Chris Schramm 7. Lewis Rose Or will George put lewis kerr at 5 like he did with richie in 2013?
jenga
I think you will see more of the old Rene on his visits to Brough next year, you could tell last year he was getting his mojo back and I reckon he will really kick on next year rene was due to have a pin removed, so dont expect his end of season performance.. Lewis Rose Or will George put lewis kerr at 5 like he did with richie in 2013? I would keep it with Anton in at 5. He needs to look after himself from the off, rather than comforting the reserve in their 3 races together. This 'thinking for himself' start to the year will do him well for when he goes to the number 1 position in the second month, replacing Ludde. Anton's average can rise significantly as all his scores will count, but Ludde's will be with dropping off some decent scores, and being replaced by decent scores so his improvement will be graded longer. Willowman
....but Ludde's will be with dropping off some decent scores, and being replaced by decent scores so his improvement will be graded longer. Come again? He will be dropping some decent scores and replacing them with decent scores. Then things will stay the same. Got a bit confused there Tsunami! Tsunami
Come again? He will be dropping some decent scores and replacing them with decent scores. Then things will stay the same. Got a bit confused there Tsunami! Easy, it's rolling averages so some of his early decent scores will be getting replaced by similar but higher scores, but any variance up or down, will be slanted over 24 meetings(I think it is now). Anton's will improve after his learning process last year and, if he continues in the way he finished the season, his scores will be greater that last years average and then take over the number 1 position. Tsunami
NEWCASTLE SPEEDWAY Xmas party, PTE club on Saturday 21st Dec, 2013. Usually starts about 7.30pm and price last year was £8 a head. To get the food quantities right, can you advise Joan E with your ticket requirements. A disco and a bit of chat with your fellow supporters, what a way to start your Xmas weekend. If you want you, you can let me know and I can pass them on for you. Tickets are usually short on supply for the party that is usually a sell out. Kids welcome of course, and fancy dress if that floats ya boat. See ya there.
