chucks
I would assume if Berwick can retain the TTT Trophy hopefully an open top bus parade will organised, giving the fans the opportunity to see there heroes pictured with some real silverware for the 2013 campaign. Expert's view - Berwick 40-50 Newcastle steady now dont get carried away ,this is only a stocking filler meeting, now if you were at edinburgh on friday and seen your liam carr fine win ,thats something to get carried away

screm
As in the PL meeting a couple of months ago Newcastle headed to Berwick with a weakened team, and as in the PL meeting a couple of months ago they took a deserved win, with once again reserve Lewis Kerr outstanding, just goes to show what can be achieved with a dominant reserve.Liked the look of young Rosen, maybe the Diamonds have unearthed another talent from Scandinavia, how do they keep on doing it. For Berwick only Kozza Smith showed any real resistance, with his teamates finding the ability of to many last places, which has been something of a habit this season. Apparently though a 2pt home defeat is not a disaster. he was not looking at the start thats for sure Worrall made a perfect start in Ht11 IMO,I was far more surprised the ref didnt pull Ht13 back which was a far more shoddy start. But I wouldnt be putting last nights defeat just because of a refs inability to pull one race back,in your opinion.

Rider Replacement looked to have scored a few points and Stuart Robson had not exactly been in top form before his injury. When Newcastle rode at Berwick in the Sky meeting that was weaker as they had McKinna in for Lindgren I think. In honestly though looking on the Berwick folk must tear their hair out! They look a good team on paper but for whatever reasons the riders, most of them, have let themselves, club and fans down. It cannot be money I would think as Berwick have a good name across speedway for paying their riders on time, unlike many many others it seems. How true, and Im sure the promotion are asking that to,over the last couple of season we`ve had a decent team at the start of the season, only for it never to realise that potential during the season.Yes theres been injuries but other clubs have suffered them and still been successful, but it seems we arent getting the best out of the riders,or the riders get into a comfort zone and dont ride with fire in their bellies.
Fromafar
Dont know how the Team manager can put up with Barrett winning Heat 2 every week then doing virtually nothing for the rest of the meeting.Imo off he doesn't. Gate he is not interested because he realises how hard it is to pass round Shielfield I would rather see Carr last but giving everything. To think that Complin,Clews and Makovsky had their critics but at least they gave 100% entertainment value every race unlike the present incumbents. Its not a pat on the back that some riders need its a kick up the ar*se.

You`d like to think one or two of this years team have ridden themselves out of a contract for next years team rather than into one.

For what its worth although I have only seen few matches but going on reports etc of current team for next season:Alden No Bellego Yes Aspegren No Wethers No Smith Yes if not long track Barrett No Starke Yes
DIAMONDS
Richie Worrall, Another great night for Mr Worrall, showing that he can be a true number 1 again. R/R, Only got 8+1 of R/R last night and i think Robbo would have got more. Andrew Tully, Very impressive night picking up important wins and showing a lot of speed, he is stepping up to cover R/R better. Anton Rosen, Quite impressed with how he has started here in England, he done some great passing manouvers and he looked quick and he looks a great prospect, only thing is he looks a bit slow out of the gates. Ludvig Lindgren, Not the best night Mr Lindgren has ever but I know he is a better rider, he is just struggling at the minute, Great heat 13 though. Chris Schramm, Had a tough night presumably with bike problems but tried his socks off all night. Lewis kerr, the find of the season. I was very impressed with the way he rode last night, great speed great passing and massive sphericals. Well done to the Berwick riders who rode well but did not beat the Diamonds good luck for the remainder of the season.

Giving him an outing in Ht14 last night was a bit perplexing to say the least , I'm sure Paul would have been a better option , it was maybe a Mickey Mouse trophy but you still want to win your home matches if nothing else For what its worth although I have only seen few matches but going on reports etc of current team for next season: Alden No Bellego Yes Aspegren No Wethers No Smith Yes if not long track Barrett No Starke Yes I'd go along those lines as well with the exception of I'd probably add Matty to the line IF Edinburgh don't want him , Paul's return may depend on what the league set up is next season

bigeddiechek
I think the current Promotion should adopt the Peter Waite School of Optimism. Every year our illustrious former leader would hail "We're going to win the league!", and everyone thought "No chance!" Now we have a promotion who are a bit more understated, we expect a league win every season, at the very least! Still, very entertaining some of the comments on here
