IronScorpion
Now we know who the last pieces of the jigsaw are, and most were hoping for Birks to be back, that is a strong top six who are all capable of winning races & getting big scores, even though, riding together, they will take points off each other aka Newcastle starting 7 early last year. Hope, also, for Josh & Ash to get some sort of place back in an EL side as it showed in their progress last year, learning off better riders & the wages for better parts/tuning. Welcome Matt to our family, hope you settle in in time & do a job & score the points Rob can see in you. I like to see teams that can score points throughout as, hopefully, it means few last places which can give good results both home & away. Good luck to David & Josh in the Cracker on Sunday. Paulco
That's a very interesting side . Could very well be dark horses for honours , especially if Ryan Douglas shows second season improvement

bullet
Loads of people done that team, including me Yes lots of people did after me!!! and after the fact rob liked the post I put up which gave a big clue!! I think matt will do well he is improving all the time and like rob says he reminds me of R Worrall how he started. at first he was a bit too aggressive going into bends and overcooking it but now seems much more controlled and the improvements are showing. If Ryan continues where he left off as well that will take a lot of pressure off matt to allow him to learn rather than be relied upon for points straight away
IronScorpion
I am hoping Ryan continues where he left off but a problem i see, & hope it's a little one, is that Ryan should have kept the engine he finished the season with as well as buying some of Hans Andersons gear. It might not suit him or our track but with a little tinkering, the quality of the equipment should shine throgh.

eric i
The more I think about Scunthorpe's team the more I like it, If Douglas carries on where he left off last year I reckon he could put a point on his average but he would probably still be at reserve. SCB
Tbh, just Howe on that average makes Scunthorpe look good IMO. Auty is capable of a point more too. Any improvement from Douglas should see them doing well in addition to the other two.

Broadsider
Mellgren's inclusion is a major coupe and with Ryan now fully dialled in, means we should definitely start out stronger than last term. The Scorpions No 1 slot is basically up for grabs and certainly don't rule out Ryan on that score! We have best balance of all the PL declarations so far and with capacity for everyone to up their average, the Scorpions will take some stopping. Even more so should Williamson begin to suss things out.
Tsunami
Williamson is a very decent rider, who I was hoping to get him to come up to Newcastle. Ex MotorX he is fast, on good gear and a born racer. Rode for us in the NJL finals meeting at Redcar, and rode well. A team place possibly IMO a bit early, but will ride himself into it as I would imagine he is a rider that Rob will have high hopes for. Be good to watch his progress.

Lewis
Happy with the team for 2014, looks stronger than last year with one proven reserve and the other 5 all having great potential. Williamson will hopefully have no pressure to perform and find his feet. I have been looking on the updates site for news about how Douglas is doing in Australia over the winter but can't find any info, if anybody has any news or links it would be great if they can post them. Was surprised not to see him in the Aus Champ qualifying meeting last fri, will keep an eye out to see if he is in the under 21 meeting on Jan 25th. He did do ok in The Jason Crump Invitational the other week. Look like Ryan is doing really well in Australia so far, beating some of the riders who are considered better in the PL e.g.Nick Morris. Really looking fwd to see if he can continue with his great improvement during the second half of the season in 2013, could be anywhere from a 5 to an 8 pt average for him. spin king
Have to say Rob Godfrey has done it again with an excellent looking team. The fact that he stuck with the lad Douglas has to be a major coup for this season, the lad looks as though he could put some serious points on his average. With the exception of the lad Williamson you can see a team of 6 riders who have the potential to average between 6.5 to 8 points. For me they are the team to beat.
