Please help just when do the averages kick inand how long before they change i thought they run monthly issue 17 effective from 1 8 13 shows Morris 8.15 Boxhall 8.84 now i thought that run for one month untill 1 9 13 before it changed but i see issue 19 has Morris 9.80 Boxhall on 8.84 surly that would mean that Boxhall should still be to high to replace Morris untill 1 9 13 one day after the meeting at Buxton just who is right i am confused.

You still going on about boxhall guesting for us, well he may miss it through injury now so suppose you will be happy about that won't ya.

Steve Boxall injured? Nothing mentioned on Speedway Updates (Stoke v IoW) other than he fell late in the match at Stoke when riding for IoW. It just says 'he walked to the ambulance.'

Dudley completed their fourth match on July 30th so new averages come into effect seven days later (6th Aug) which is reflected in issue 18 although not all of their riders had done 4 matches then. Next lot of new averages for all clubs are from 1st of Sept.

But should guest be used in what is supposed to a training league.

An excellent point - sadly aired before and in most cases been supported. For my part, I agree with what you say.

Ok do you suggest we use two 3point riders for our two 9+ riders. Oh come on gota be competive still aint we

I don't really care what you do. I just debate commonsense factors - and that's something that doesn't seem to exist any more. League racing at the basic end of the day is not a club sport any more. It's a collection of team/area names competing in what major sports describe and rightly so as CLUB league racing.

In the days when speedway was a proper team sport club's had to use - as happens in major sports - their own resources to overcome injury or absentee problems.

An example - not National League - but in the Elite League Poole used three guests and also rider replacement in their six man squad at Lakeside on Friday. That's how stupid speedway has become - no wonder the National media no longer take much notice of speedway.

Exactly! People moaned last year when you had to use 3 point riders to cover any absence (bar #1) and they still moan this year when it changes! There's no pleasing some people...

Is the match taking place? It's 2.47pm and I can see no feedback for the match on Speedway Updates? I can't do it because I am housebound in 'the wilds of North Kent'!
