Whats Kennetts average?? Could we fit him and Allen

Kennett last appeared on the Bandits GS averages as 10.42 in early July. I doubt he'd had enough meetings to gain a proper PL average. His EL average of 6.39 converts to 9.71 after 5% deduction (if it still applies). I don't think he's worth taking the risk on that average.

These are just rough calculations, I could be a bit off.

We could have a team of

kennett bowen and boxall, names from the past

with melgren garrity nelson and bunyan.

No idea if the averages fit. Seems about right.

Do people think kasper and pontus wil be back?

I like Kasper a lot, always gives lots of effort and can be very entertaining. However, his gating is shocking and he needs to focus on his technique very powerfully, possibly with the help of a mentor/sports psychologist. If he doesn't improve his technique and statistics at the tapes, the sport, I suspect, will leave him behind. Pontus was a breath of fresh air when he arrived mid-season and though he has not torn up any trees has been reasonably steady. That said, will the promotion want to be paying the air fares for three Scandinavian riders (assuming AM is retained) if there are other, more local and therefore potentially less costly options available? I guess until we all know the proposed 2014 structure of British Speedway only those genuinely ITK can speculate with any sense of reasonable odds on something actually happening or not.

Chris Neath had an attempt at improving Kasper's gating with little or no visible success. Lets face it, if Neathy can't help him who can?

I've seen a couple of live Danish meetings on the Internet involving Kasper and he's hardly pulling up any trees there either.

When is the promoters meeting this year?

I understand they had a pre promoters meeting meeting a couple of weeks ago, presumably to get a flavour of what they're all thinking.

Now I am sure I have read them wrongly but if the totals attributed to the final green sheets on the bspa site are correct only Edinburgh, Ipswich Newcastle and Somerset finished the season with a combined higher average than the Rockets. I know everyone can what if . . . but what if we had used our total points quota at the start of the season and not had such horrible luck with injuries!!!!!!!!! Im not a big fan of rolling averages as I don't think they are a true reflection of a riders actual form but they may really help us next year if we can keep the nucleus of this team - JG,AM, TN,JB and PA together.

Being based 12,000 miles away in NZ, I only have figures to go on for next years team. Which brings me to the subject of Olly Allen, who many of you don't want in next years team. It must be frustrating when your no1 averages less than 8 at home. But at home, the rest of the team - Bunyan, Aspgren, Garrity, Mellgren - are strong enough to cope. Winning away meetings is the key to success, and that's where Allen comes in to his own if you look, his total away average was 8.69 the last time I looked, but if you just look at the larger tracks where we are traditionally weakest, he avergaes over 9. Surely that's worth retaining....???

Where did you get those averages from?

Thanks, I should've thought of that. Not sure if they use those for team building. Don't they use rolling averages?

Also, Jason Garrity would have 5% off his average
