Rye House 2014

From where I was sitting last night it looked as if Len was taking a good look at stefan during his last couple of races.

looks like we all think he would be the perfect signing for us what are the odds on it happening though?

Bring back Adam Roynon, seems to be a good year to bring some our previous riders back, would be Stefan not Ben for me.

With this frenzy of riders being sacked and replaced by better performing riders, the world being searched for riders that will ride above their average, calculations to see if Elite riders can double down into the Premier League. Deep inside the Rocket HQ, Len and John are deep in conversation.

"I think they will crack under pressure"

"No, I am sure they will be okay"

"We have got to consider our budget"

"Sometimes a decision has to be made, no messing around, be decisive and just do it"

"Right !!! Chocolate Hob Nobs is it then !!!! Now have you had any thoughts about riders ??"

See Adam Roynon rode for Plymouth last night. Assume he's signed for them? With the Henry feller free from Newcastle , Morley still free from a perminant PL place still can't work out Len Silvermans logic. Obviously successes is something he don't want! Well I think his paying public do!

Would Rob Mear ever come back and ride speedway again? If so wouldn't he do a decent job.

Rye House aren't running a NL side this year

If he does I'll not be going back to Rye, can't stand him. Was terrible for us last year too, should stick to being a gas man. Edited by RocketBen1

I don't know of any Rye fan that believes that Simon Lambert shouldn't be released from his duties, not one. It's been weeks since he put in a half decent performance. Surely we'd have seen a change by now.

With Garrity at reserve, and getting back to his best, it's giving the team a much needed points boost, but when he swops places with Luke Bowen (I presume) after next months GS are released we'll be back to square one.

Having a rider that's scores next to nothing home & away is unacceptable. If it was a youngster in his first PL season you could accept it if you could see a week on week improvement, but Simon has been around for years and is going backwards.

Agree entirely. To be fair to him it's not a lack of effort but that's not the point . The other thing Len has to remember is that if Lamberts confidence goes altogether it won't help the Kent kings either. It's a bit like when a boxing trainer throws in his towel to stop his boxer taking any more punishment . Len should throw the towel in .

As Scunthorpe have now redeclared with Klindt. A possibility would be replace JB with Mellgren and still have almost 4 to replace Lambert. If we are going to have someone who is consistently scoring well below 3, why not give a youngster a chance or bring back someone who has more chance of scoring their average ??? How long has Lambert been in the PL and how many chances has he had ?

I know these changes would never happen but I enjoy making up teams, as sad as it sounds :(

We had Simon Lambert as a guest, back in 2007. It was at Birmingham in the 2nd leg of the Young Shield Final.

Karlis Ezargalis was lined up, but Lambert was brought in as a last minute replacement. Because of his height, does not look relaxed on his machinery.
