Tsunami
Well then, to use a phrase pinched from somewhere else, "I'm not showing you mine if you're not going to show me yours," in that case! We must have went out with the same girls Bryn.
westhamboy66
Oh well, even less meetings for me to see at Rye then as I work on Sundays! Shame for me as i'd rather go to Mildenhall than Rye House on a Sunday afternoon. I always thought a dusty bank holiday afternoon meeting at Hoddesdon was a fair price to pay if an increased crowd was expected due to the Bank Holiday. I see no point in reverting to sunday afternoons as opposed to sticking wit Saturday nights, where is the gain. Some really strange decisions from the Rye House Promotion of late, just another example of putting the Kent connection before Rye i'm afraid.
stuart curtis
Would not think it is about putting Kent in front of Rye, but could it be that certain fixtures like Edinburgh, Newcastle etc have been penciled in for these dates? So allowing extra travel time between meetings for riders etc? For me Rye is also much better on a Saturday night! but I do also enjoy the odd trip to Mildenhall on a Sunday too, just for the rows more than anything!
Ben91
Not so much Len putting Kent in front of Rye House IMO but looking out for both his interests I'd imagine. 1. I'm sure Kent will draw bigger BH Monday crowds than Rye House. 2. Kent have to race on a Monday it's part of their planning permission. 3. Simon Lambert is Kent's number one, he'd have to ride for Rye House therefore Kent would be without their top rider, he's not everyones cup of tea including mine but Len clearly likes him and why would he shoot himself in the foot by denying his own side their best rider? I'm not a fan of Sunday afternoon racing, speedway is better on a Saturday evening but that's the way the cookie crumbles I guess.
bolly
I see Tyson qualified for Aussie Champs last night, equal points to Sam Masters but 2nd place on countback. Just hope he goes well in the main championship starting tonight. http://speedwayupdates.proboards.com/board/55/australian-new-zealand-speedway Well done Nelson. Alan_Jones
Also, well done to Rye House reject Kurt Shields who also qualified with a creditable 10 points, including a tapes exclusion, after only 20 minutes notice of promotion from reserve. Shadders
I do also enjoy the odd trip to Mildenhall on a Sunday too, just for the rows more than anything! Mildenhall is one of the few tracks I've not had a row at. I must try and get along sometime this year
stuart curtis
I've seen some over the years, especially when Stoke, Dudley or the Rye teams come to the fens, these normally provide some entertainment on the terraces, and occasionally also in the pits! DragonsDen
http://www.ryehouserockets.co/news.php?extend.739 Confirmed on Rye website - Nelson out - Tresarrieu in! Len said he could not face the same agony as 2 years ago!
westhamboy66
Watched a lot of Mathieu in his time at Ipswich, a rider i like and his addition won't make us any weaker i doubt. Sign of the times that we treat the Aussies so badly and yet allow sub standard EU riders in at the drop of a hat. Doubt we will go down the Nelson route again in the future
Ben91
I like Tresarrieu, I don't like him as a second heat leader though. Shame that Nelson can't get over again, would have been a big season for him too.
spin king
What I cannot understand is how Rye and Tyson Nelson have been caught out again. Once is unfortunate, but twice in the space of three years is very clumsy and with Len Silver been involved in the travel business you would think that he would have a greater understanding if the situation.
