Rocketbee
Will take some stopping at home, but get some very big hammerings away. Not sure Rambo's return is a good idea but other than him and to an extent Bunyan the others should regularly score enough points to make Rye a fortress again and as other than shadders hardly anyone ever travels away these days so heavy away defeats would be more tolerable if we were winning well at home every week. No airfairs to fork out for either which may have been behind the omittion of Anders.
JamesM09
2014 Team E.Kennett T.Nelson J.Bunyan S.Boxall J.Garrity S.Lambert L.Bowen Poor in my opinion
Rocketbee
Probably need to see other 11 teams before judging how strong/week a team it is.
MrMungo
Feel a bit for Morley. Thought he performed well enough in his 114 PL guest bookings this season to warrant a reserve spot at Rye. Hard to judge the side without knowing what the other line-ups will be like, but I suspect that's a mid-table line-up unless one of Garrity/Boxall/Nelson really kick on and have an excellent season.
Brian
Absolutely no chance of Kennett staying anywhere close to that average. Puts a lot of pressure on the others to step up or it could be a long season of struggle.
orderly
According to the final green sheet list Jason Garrity has a green average of 5.45 not 5.32 as quoted which gives a total of 41.87 leaving 0.63 points remaining Edited November 21, 2013 by starshooter
JC!
2014 Team E.Kennett T.Nelson J.Bunyan S.Boxall J.Garrity S.Lambert L.Bowen Poor in my opinion No air fares, seems pretty a pretty cheap option that will tick Len's all important box of winning most home matches. Potential improvement in Garrity mitigated by the potential average drop of Eddie. 7 old faces will hardly bring the missing fans back, lower mid-table beckons. skoobie
Very poor team IMO far to long of a tail add to that Kennet proves at berwick he is nowhere a 10 point/num 1 rider
CardinalSin
Very surprised Mellgren has been ousted! Impressed me this season. Very good rider with a lot more to come.
Parsloes 1928 nearly
[quote name="Arson fire" post="237That's even worse than last year. I agree, wouldn't touch anyone with that high an average.... Including cook.Harland Cook's average would never be assessed that high!!! LOL! screm
Very surprised Mellgren has been ousted! Impressed me this season. Very good rider with a lot more to come. Not as surprised as the rider it seems, who was emailed the news of his non-inclsion yesterday having been told he was definitly in the team a few weeks ago. jenga
just think, when eddie drops a couple or three points off that average. you will be able to do a berwick and strengthen up to the limit. as long as the others dont improve.. the likes of bonny and garibaldi will stick some thing on their averages.. dont think you will be the only team with a high average no 1... You do talk some dribble at times,Kennett never came close to dropping his average while at Berwick as he never did enough meetings. On the rider himself,I think the tighter track at Rye will siut him and being a former Rocket he should have no trouble in scoring points at home meetings.Still not convinced he will be a top rider in the PL though. Ben91
Mellgren and Aspgren instead of Kennett and Lambert and we had a title contending team on our hands. No issues with Eddie coming back on a personal level, he's a Rye legend but from a team building stand point he takes up too many points and this has meant we have had to sign Simon Lambert. A bit of perspective, we have dropped Olly Allen, what more does Kennett offer the side except maybe a point or two more at home for his far higher average? Lambert won't pull up any trees, he always looks laboured around Rye and that's a polite appraisal. Mellgren and Aspgren would have left Luke and Garrity at reserve whilst we would have always had a solid number one. I'll reserve judgement but I think it's going to be a case of what could have been.
Rockets
Shame it's not Robert rather than simon lambert.
SCB
Not a bad team IMO. Any other club I'd expect Lambert out once Kennett gets an average but Silver won't drop anyway. I expect to see many worse teams.
Boobs
Looking at Berwick review in today's Star, I see Eddie Kennett's away average for the Bandits was better than his home figure. At Rye House, he'll be a big, big star.
spin king
Very much a typical Rye team over the last couple of years. Could be a few fireworks with the likes of Garrity, Nelson and Boxall. Quite a promising team if Nelson and Garrity can prove the promise they showed last night. Surprised to see Rambo back for them, but Uncle Len usually springs a surprise or two.
Pinny
Awful side. Whoever snaps up Mellgren will get a cracking signing. Ryes team has one heatleader from where I am standing.
