Somerset V Ipswich Friday 23rd August

Recommended Posts

The last time Ben Barker was here with Ipswich he said he would have done better if Somerset had put some dirt on the track and he would bring a different bike next time. That was back in April and Rebels won by 20 points, I cannot see the score being any different on Friday. Unfortunately, being a Friday, rain is forecast from late afternoon, hopefully just showers. Ladbrokes are offering odds on this match, it's even money Barker gets punched by someone.

The Witches season has turned around a bit since that first visit and now they need to prove they can do it at a track where it is not easy to avoid a pasting.

Would be estatic to see a point come back to Suffolk.

Here endeth the " at least a point from every away meeting scenario " We are gonna get battered big time !

The Rebels really are the form team at the moment and I don't see us even getting close im afraid !

As always I would be ecstatically happy to be proved wrong and eat a huge slice of humble pie but I can't see it happening .

No complacency allowed in this one. Need to do a professional job. I'm Gary is well up for it. Need to Alex to have resolved his engine... errr.. frame.. or was it engine? Ermmm bike problem from Saturday.

Think that's all the bases covered :)

So would I but I am expecting a much more competitive performance.

I will go for 52 - 40 but hope for a Worky type turnaround. Up the Witches!!

Surely Ipswich have a better chance of winning tonight than Belle Vue had at Swindon last night. Anything can happen in Speedway

Depends how many bikes the Somerset riders have in the pits and the income they are getting ;)

Also wonder if Risagers bikes will be quick enough for Doyle tonight aswell?

Didn't attend this match as a number of local weather forecasts said showers turning heavy by 8pm. Thought I had made wrong decision as not raining at home, but as it turned out it was correct decision. Unfortunately Mrs OT is watching Master Chef and can't stand it. However have purchased a copy of FIM Speedway GP 4 and it's pretty good, although I crash a lot, but will keep me amused. It's only 97 pence from a well known Weston-S-Mare computer shop, but have to order on line and collect. At that price you can't go wrong.
