Paulco
No thread Bears fans for what is a win or bust meeting for your ailing play-off hopes . Granted three points against a side marooned at the bottom of the league , and who haven't gained a single away point all season , should be a formality . But it's amazing what can happen when the pressure is on . One change for Glasgow , the improving Joey Ringwood sustained a knock in the home meeting against Somerset last Sunday , and will be replaced by Ben Morley . Weather forecast looks good , so i'll see some of you Bears fans later . C'mon the stripes .
cheggie
I hope we can get our gating shoes on tonight and sneak a point tonight!!
george.m
Was there any evidence on Sunday if Anders has sorted his mechanical gremlins? if we have everyone firing on all cylinders a point could be sneaked.
MD
If James Grieves could get some speed into his engines hopefully he could get beyond the 5 or so points he is getting at home. Again Glasgow are too inconsistent to predict anything. What we get from North or Bager is anyones guess. Can only see a decent home win. screm
Hopefully it will be a good night for James Grieves in what will be his last ever PL away meeting for Glasgow, how fitting its at one of his former homes.

MD
Not a good night for Glasgow or Grieves, again. Potentially Screen's last ride if he is injured. Incredible that Anders Thomsen gets the nod for ht15 having only scored 4 to that point. Sums up our season.
glasgowmicktiger
Its not been a good season for james at all really hope he finds some form before end of season so we can all hear " jimmy jimmy" over and over again.
LagutaRacingFan
Fantastic performance from Daktoa North, No idea why he's riding at 2 Edited August 22, 2013 by Hougaard Racing Fans
Weeyin
Fantastic performance from Daktoa North, No idea why he's riding at 2 Think they should put him at 3 or 4, he hasn't got to grips with Glasgow track though... He also likes the same line as Screeny which can be problematic
glasgowmicktiger
North and bager would be a good pairing 3@
MD
If we can get Thomsen to do all the matches this season he will be a decent starting reserve for 2014 with around a 4.00 average. Though he really needs to get the engine problems sorted. Just like Grieves, Bager also has had an awful season. Don't think it matters the riding order anymore we just need to hope that just once this season everyone performs on the same day and we somehow win at home.
Weeyin
North and bager would be a good pairing 3@4 That would leave Screeny and Anders as a pairing ...don't think that would work as they ride the same line ( providing Anders bike doesn't fail) If we can get Thomsen to do all the matches this season he will be a decent starting reserve for 2014 with around a 4.00 average. Though he really needs to get the engine problems sorted. Just like Grieves, Bager also has had an awful season. Henniing has picked up well in latter part of season and he is better away than at home
RedcarRacer
A potentially have decent meeting was ruined by Joe Screen injury, although to be fair that Glasgow side were as bad as anything we have seen this season. Dakoa North aside and Anders Thomsen - who looked good when he got going - they were pretty woeful. The Bears were good, and did what they had to - was good to see Dyer get his paid max on probably his farewell appearance in Bears colours - nobody can fault Micky for his efforts this season - he has been superb from start to finish. Of the rest, I would only want Summers and Skidmore back - the rest dont deserve a place, Kus, Ostergaard and Wilkinson are just not good enough - Steve Worrall to be fair may be worth a shot as he is young and looks committed, again unlike the three just mentioned. However, given Havvy snr and the Consortium's wage budget - suspect Kus, Ostergaard and Wilkinson could be first on the team sheet as they will be nice and cheap! And a note on the track, for the third week running was in excellent condition - lets hope we have that all 2014!
MD
Henniing has picked up well in latter part of season and he is better away than at home Bager 0 1 1 1 = 3+1 Not even cutting it as a second string never mind the third heat leader we need him to be. Hopelessly inconsistent and surely can't be retained next year.

Hopelessly inconsistent and surely can't be retained next year. We need a major clearout for next season for the non-retirees, never mind winning matches, the entertainment value has been poor this year with one or two home meeting exceptions. Henning would not be in my plans.

The White Knight
Sad to hear of Joe Screens injury - let's hope he can get fit before the end of the Season. Injury would be a sad way for him to go out after all the sterling service he has given British Speedway over the years. Get well soon Joe.
