Edinburgh V Rye House (pl) 23/8/13 @ 7.30pm

Recommended Posts

After lasts weeks fabulous match which will be very hard to top we have the in form rockets at the Dale. With Josh Bates replacing the injured Mitchell Davey for the rest of the season and Rye House having Jason Garrity back (all going well in his practice tomorrow) it looks a rather tasty match.

Teams for Friday:

Edinburgh

  1. Craig Cook
  2. Max Fricke
  3. Theo Pijper
  4. Joe Tabaka
  5. Claus Vissing
  6. Josh Bates
  7. Derek Sneddon

Rye House

  1. Oliver Allen
  2. Pontus Aspgren
  3. Jason Bunyan
  4. Tyson Nelson
  5. Anders Mellgren
  6. Kasper Lykke
  7. Jason Garrity

Gonna miss this one sadly. Can't get time off work and they've finally clamped down on my speedway "sickies". It's taken them 6 years to notice, ahh well.

Can't see anything but a comfortable home win. Hopefully we come through unscathed for the following nights meeting at Berwick, which I can attend with a quick dash up the ECML

Track should be a little wet from the forecast late afternoon/early evening rain, although you never know what your gonna get with the Armadale micro climate.

Anybody know how Garrity's pracitce went tonight? If so is he fit enough to ride or will it be a guest?

According to accounts he threw down his crutches, jumped on his bike and came onto the track popping wheelies. Did a couple of laps before retiring to the bar, still on crutches

Very very tricky match in prospect... Rye House are in form and go very well at the Dale. Potential banana skin (as is the last league match against the Twitchers) but full house is needed tonight. If Garrity rides - which it seems he will, he may well be a handful at reserve with good performances behind him at the Dale.

Same performance as against the Rebels last week needed... No slip-ups...

So accordIng to the monarchs website garrity isn't fit enough to ride so they are now looking for a guest to replace him.

He reported that he was in sum (his spelling) pain this morning. Time to stop all this nonsense and admit that he's not going to be fit enough to race for a while yet.

Was reported that Bates was released from Rockets booking earlier in the week as Garrity, whom he would have replaced, was expected to ride at the Dale.

Can Ben Morley now replace JG ?

Every week for the past month or so we've been told that "Jason will be back next week" and every week I've said there's no way he will be.

The break in his leg apparantly isn't healing properly. Somebody needs to crack some heads together.

For whatever reason, Ben doesn't do northern away matches. James Sarjeant is the usual choice.

Coincidentally, Ben has tweeted within the last hour "Guest bookings??"

Len has usually gone for Northern based riders when up there, I'm guessing to save on travel costs. Ben Hopwood is the usual go to for Northern tracks since Sarjeant signed for Leicester.

James McBain perhaps apologies if thats not the correct name but it rings a bell from last season

James McBain has been a guest for various sides at Scottish tracks in recent years
