Newcastle V Workington Pl Sunday 25th August 2013

Recommended Posts

Before this match we will know the result of the return match at Workington the night before. The comets always do well on Brough Parks much tighter track. 3 comets were at Brough last week. Richard Lawson, Rusty Harrison and Kyle Howarth. Kyle was pretty good and he will be confident on return a week later. I am happy that so many northern team are doing so well in the league. Newcastle needs the points more than Workington so look out comets the diamonds are at home and expect to win this one

Not confident at all about this match, expect Rich/Kyle to go well again but not confident on the away form of Rene, (especially at Brough) and Rusty, who didn't go too good on Sunday in the international!! Disappointingly going for 60-32, think Newky are too strong at home for us? :( . Hoping to be proved wrong of course!!!! ;)

Coming over on the supporters bus for this , expecting a very entertaining match as usual at Brough Park although Newcastle coming out on top with all 3 points (still if my team can't win the title then its Newcastle or Edinburgh who will get my support don't want a Somerset/Ippo win....shhhhh don't tell the witches fans tho they will have my head :D ) A safe meeting for all with 7 comets coming back to DP in one piece.

COME ON THE COMETS !!!

A broken leg for Stuart Robson at Peterborough on Friday night. get well soon Robbo. So, we bring in a new guy, Anton Robson rather than use R/R for Christian Henry and now we are using R/R for Robbos rides. Where do we go from here? Another new guy as a temporary replacement for Stuart? or R/R to seasons end? I suppose it depends upon how good Anton turns out to be. We have had another bad year with injuries

Bugger

Can only hope Rosen turns out to be a 9 pointer or it's season over.

Get well soon Robbo

He seems to have the potential to be so, but needs to do it from the off. I would be replacing Robbo if there is a decent foreigner out there wanting more rides after their own team has missed out on their playoffs. Another Anton would do me.

Best wishes to Robbo for a speedy recovery.

Right up there on my list of all time favourite non Witches.

A wholehearted tough but fair rider and a joy to watch.

Newcastle and the PL are the poorer without him.

Would like to think that after last night's performance we could be in a more confident frame of mind to tackle Brough a bit better than we have done lately, still believe that Newky will be too strong for us but expecting the result to be a lot thinner than previously predicted so will amend to 52-38!! ;)
