Workington V Newcastle Pl Saturday 24th August 2013

Recommended Posts

Matches between these two sides have been well worth the admission money home and away. Newcastle have been set back by the injury to Aussie Christian Henry and are bringing in a new rider Swede Anton Rosen. It may be to much to ask of Anton to chip in with Christians average score of around 7 points at Derwent Park but we Newcastle fans hope he can make the difference. The rest of the diamonds will cause the comets a few problems and I think the result will be close as it will on Sunday at Brough. Ludvig Lindgren is my banker for the two matches. If he rides like we know he can Newcastle will be in with a shout so no pressure on you Lightning eh!

Ludvig has proved time and time again, he isn't a 'big track' rider.

Go on Ludde... prove me wrong!! :P

Is Ashley back for this match or not? If yes, then I think we could have a good chance of a 48-42 win, can definitely see Newky getting a point at least from this (tho I hope not really) as too many of their riders know a very fast way round our track!! Weather was looking OK for the weekend so here's hoping for a dry day and a good match!! ;)

Says on the website that Ash is back. I think a lot will depend on how Rene goes against Worrall in 1, 13 and probably 15 especially after Worrall's dominating performance guesting for Plymouth

Whats wrong with the comets fans? You have an excellent team and I will be happy if the diamonds get a point from this. Both sides should make the playoffs which will be fine by me if we meet the comets again after this weekend. I hope the diamonds entertain at Derwent Park and the comets do likewise at Brough Park

A tough job just got tougher, is Tero missing with injury or a fixture clash with something abroad? Not the most reliable of riders but I would rather have his potential than not against a team like Newky, hope the reserves are well fired up, going to be a busy night? ;)
