Berwick Bandits V Rye House Rockets (pl, Saturday 24th)

Recommended Posts

Correct, but we have a team manager who`s job it is to get the best out of his riders, maybe question`s need to be asked there. It`s clear to see that certain riders are allowed to get away with under performing on a regular bases and become to comfortable at Berwick.

Season was doomed to failure after choosing Alex Edberg and his lovely race suits over Mickey Dyer

i'm sure the name of this post is Berwick v Rye House not a post mortem of where this season has gone wrong so back to saturdays meeting sadly we are using r/r due to Kozza's injury which does mean extra rides for the rest of the main body of the team not a bad thing as we are a bit fragile at reserve. Think this could be a closer result than people expect as Rye have riders capable of scoring points at shielfield in Allen, Mellgren, & Nelson think the result could hinge on how Aspgren performs on his 1st visit. Hopefully there will be a half decent crowd craving for there speedway fix after a 3 week break and we finish off the league season with a win.

Interesting that the Rye website names Jason Garrity in the Rockets line up with the proviso "if fit", just like it has for the past couple of months. My understanding is that he won't race again this year. Still no mention of a guest just in case. All the best options are in the NLRC

The topic on this thread over the last few days might tell you just how actual interest there is in this meeting.

R/R for Smith weakens Berwick IMO as I dont see the rest of the team getting what Smith wouldve scored.Though they should have way to much against a Rye House side who are looking forward to the KOC.

Is Robin Aspregren fit to ride for Bandits is the question ?

If you look on the Bandits web site Robin has(if fit) after his name on the Team Line -ups hence the reason I am asking. Is he or isn't he fit to ride.

Of course if Aspegren didnt make it,Berwick would be able to use a guest for Smith, with r/r taking over for Aspegren. ;)

Who actually cares if Aspegren is fit or not. Hes been tear gas all season. Pointless match as already has been stated, pity both teams cant just forfeit it and save the crowd the pain of another dull match.

Not pointless for those of us who are traveling 350 miles to watch it after having previously had a wasted 700 mile round trip for the rained off meeting in August, or for the riders who have travelled far and wide to entertain us and earn some wedge.

Usual sheep in attendance. Could put 14 chimpanzees on the bikes and you'd still be there.

attacking somebody for turning out and supporting his club !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that's dead clever that is

probably playing crazy golf at Spittal Beach... with Seb and Alex

If your still making horrors like signing Edberg/Barrett over Dyer and to that the year previous German Pornstar then the season before that Hungarian Champion, its no wonder we dont win meetings, but as per Berwick Speedway its entertaining and provides a good giggle after a few beverages
