Berwick Bandits V Rye House Rockets (pl, Saturday 24th)

Recommended Posts

Bit surprised this has been called off so soon, especially giving the Rye House are a fellow saturday night track, though I must admit Im quite glad in a way if its spares us another meeting like last week, also Berwick should have Bellego and Rye Garrity back for the re-arranged fixture.

Hopefully it will be a Saturday when the Berwick Rangers are away from home, after watching Rye House last night i would have still fancied our chances even without David

Rockets next free Saturday is 28th September, but we may have a KOC Final to fit in should we progress past Redcar.

Hopefully not another double header on 7th or 14th September

Hopefully a quick decision, so I can book the day off work

After saturday next,Berwick are free every saturday till the end of October, though you`d think the BSPA would like it run before the play-off cut off date which is mid-September I think.

Neither of us will be in the play offs, so I shouldn't think that'll matter much

Restaged on 21st September

Berwick will be without Paul Starke that night as he will be riding in the NLRC,also they wont be able to call on Liam Carr for the same reason.Kozza Smith should be taking part in the Longtrack GP Qualifier in Germany on Sunday 22nd,whether that means he misses this fixture might come down to if he can get to Germany in time for the meeting to sign in and if practice on the saturday is compulsery.

It could be Alden but maybe he wasnt signed in time, the next rider below Smith in the averages at the minute is Wethers but Im sure there will have been a cut-off date to clarify the starting line-up which might bring Aspegren into the picture.

So in short its anyones guess.

Bandits will struggle with two NL guests in place of Paul & Kozza, but they managed ok without ANY reserves in last years Bandits v Rockets match!

Starke will miss the meeting,as will his likely replacement Carr, theres no news at present as to whether Smith will or will not miss the meeting, maybe we will get things cleared up more during tomorrows meeting with Newcastle.

no kozza now by the looks of it so you may get to see the rockets win at shielfield at least this year you won't have to put up with DIck Barrie's disgraceful and totally unessesary treatment of your number one rider
