Obviously it better to ride with a team of seven, but with the form that Jensen and in particular Kus is in just now, we can carry using R/R for a week or two and let Wethers come back when the time is right.

In addition to his injuries, Matty again suffered a huge financial blow last week, with his bike, helmet and neck-brace all wrecked -- virtually the same damage suffered in his big 'off' during the match against Redcar. Total replacement bills from the two big crashes getting up towards £4,000.

The club have already been contacted by a supporter who read about the helmet 'doing its job' in a recent newsletter and will be contributing to purchase of a replacement helmet and brace, and the Bandits Supporters Club have the promotion's blessing to hold a collection between the two matches on Saturday night.

Just heard from Liam, Cruciate ligament and other tendons snapped, he will need an operation as soon as they can fit him in.

If there is no breaks, that at least is a bit of good news, though injuring ligaments and tendons can be just as messy.

Would just like to thank everyone for their kind words over the last few days after my little get off on Thursday. I have sustained serious injuries to both cruciate ligaments in my right knee along with the patella tendon and HCL ligament on the inner side of my knee. The only thing connecting my lower leg to the upper is the skin and muscle, so I currently have a cast on until my multiple operations to reattach the 4 snapped ligaments. This is just the start of a long long road to recovery. Thanks again, hope to see you all soon.

This was Liam`s post on Facebook, hopefully he makes a full recovery asap.

That sounds like serious injury especially right knee, ligaments normally mean long term recovery, best wishes for full recovery.

Yesterdays European Under-21 meeting, due to take place in Rybnik with David Bellego in it, was rained off just before the scheduled start. The Track Racing Commission for FIM Europe will announce a new date in due course. Here`s hoping its not on a night where Berwick have a fixture.

Also congratulations to Berwick`s Leon Flint who finished 3rd in 150cc British Youth Championships yesterday at Rye House.
