Berwick 2014?

Recommended Posts

No but i suspect money in general is tight always handy to have a rider with a rich daddy.

But being fair Liam was not cutting the mustard and must have been getting disheartened.

Comes in on 4.36 I think

robin hockenhull chairman of the Alex Edberg fan club

Yes he full of the usual joys of spring. Don't know the person but his glass is always half empty. Gosh you have some happy chappies!

Does the team need new kevlars?

Bit late in the season now for kevlars! But always look to go for betterment if you chasing a top spot. Dont rest on your laurels. You replacing a 3 pointer with around a 4.5 average so cant be bad?

Gives the local tarts that hang around the pits after the meeting another target for the weekly "drop the knickers" contest. I suspect Edberg will score more in the back of his van than on the track.

ive seen some of the 'women' who hang around the pits at the end of the meeting and unless he's really really desperate he will give them a wide berth

In fairness and no disrespect to young Carr last time I looked at Berwick averages he had scored something like just over 20 points in around 50 races. Edberg being going ok in Sweden so not much to score to better Liam. Think you being bit tough on Edberg.

I agree Liam's struggled, but so was Edberg after his numerous injuries. Perhaps he's got his head on right and learned how to race properly. He'll be returning to Rye House in three weeks, the scene of one of his numerous crashes. Best of luck to him.

To be Honest don't think the change will make any difference to our results, apart from Claus the rest are very Inconsistant from meeting to meeting ,were are getting results though, they are all waiting for their turn at reserve to earn some real points money .We are having a decent season but we won't win anything.

Good to see us having a decent season, isn't it?

There's certainly a better vibe around this year, but Berwick are light years away from winning anything. A play off place will be a real success for them as well as a decent showing against the Moanarchs next week. That is in effect Berwicks cup final.

Pre last night I think we would have finished 3rd or 4th in the table and like Leicester in 2012 struggled in the playoffs...

Edberg makes us stronger at home he may score the points that will keep us unbeaten at home, we don't have any weak riders anymore similar to Edinburgh. He's averaging the same as Palovaara in Sweden (maybe tells you something about Glasgow's scouting system)..

I think Liam has made great strides this year. I'm sure he's gutted but he's a better rider for it.

I'm sure the experience of turning out at number 2 for Czestochowa and riding with Nicki has really helped Alex regain his confidence, and I'm sure he is now ready to lead the team to play off glory. His kit is still immaculate (shock) so lets hope he can do the business.

Last season there were mutterings when Somerset brought in Charles Wright at the end of the year to replace Stefan Nielsen, who certainly hadn't been doing much wrong.

After they then won the league, with Charles playing a major role, everyone praised Debbie and Garry for making the move.

Liam Carr will come again, but this season hasn't managed much away from home. Berwick still have more than half their away matches to be raced, so the swap of two club assets is a sensible one.

John Anderson has strengthened his team, which is what a team manager is supposed to do, and with Berwick in a position to be in the top six, probably top three, why should he not be looking toward the play-offs?
