Berwick 2014?

Recommended Posts

He scored very well at Opole beating Rempala and Burza a few times (Opole is a great track. But this guy is starting from reserve, he has seen a lot of the tracks before and has had a bit of EL experience with Eastbourne and is an big track rider with IOW.

Not a world beater.. but this guy should pile the points in from reserve. I've seen him beat big names on Youtube his biggest scalp being ex world champion Pederson. To outgate Pederson is a big feat and to be fair Nicki didn't look like getting anywhere near him nor did Sundstrom did 2 seasons when he was pushing on a 8 point ave in the EL. He's had Kenneth Hansen from the back as well. (Who could have have been our No1) what a disaster that would have been.

As Scott says it might not be pretty... but this team will compete in pretty much all matches home and away and will destroy weak teams because of our strength in Depth

I am willing to put my honourable reputation on the line with these predictions

As I said in a previous post, it's in 'IF' team. If it all gels, could do really well, if it doesn't, bottom end. With this team, more than ever we need the track to be prepared consistantly to the standard achieved for the under 21s F.I.M. meeting. 'IF' this is not given priority, it could quickly deflate the team,

Specsavers for you I feel ,while the team lacks an out right No1 considering you have to work to a points limit it does look like Strenght in depth team on paper.

While you may mock Taffys post there are a considerable number of fans would say he has a valid point.

I don't see the team as 'very weak', I will admit that I don't know which way this team will go, as previously said, if everything gels, it is a good team in depth. I have always favoured a team in depth, if you go with an out & out No1 it will need to be backed up with the best 2 reserves available on about a 5 average each.

I agree the team doesn't have a blockbuster look, but neither have the most successful teams in the past.

A lot of us have looked for the strength in depth option, and we have it.

As you say, we're always going to have a strong reserve, and Liam will pick up a few wins along the way too.

Also solid performers in Matty and Doolan, with the 3 others capable of going either way: but hopefully the right way.

Could be dark horses this year.

I am quietly confident, it's a bit like the team of 2005 when got pipped to 2nd place. Adrian Rymel, Michal Makovsky,Tom P Madsen,Chris Scramm, Karl Wilkinson, Scud Smith and Adam Piatrasko. If it wasn't for Michal and Tom ps end of season injuries, could have won the league. Could this be a team like that, certainly a better constructed team than in recent seasons.

This is going to be a shock to a lot of people on here (not to Taffy, though).

I completely agree, and I too am quietly confident.

Then you will sleep your way to a virtually empty stadium, there's no doubt this promotion has done a lot with the periphery, but the preparation of the track is important to a Saturday nights entertainment. Its not all about the burgers and pies, fine they may be.
