wjm
Barrie is good if he sticks to what he's good at rather than insulting bile at rival teams ridersGjedde chose to act and do what he did, no one else. Shame he did. Others riders tend to laugh when he trolls them don't take it as much as an offense as some on here seem to. ( if anything they seem to be envious of the master of trolling) All hail King Barrie of Dickshire I say. spin king junior
Dick Barrie is like Marmite. You either love him, or hate him. Personally I think he's superb. And much like Marmite, I bloody hate him. The bloke really just doesn't know when to shut his gob. He was at it when the Bandits were at Somerset as well! george.m
Credit where it's due, he did a great deal to promote Glasgow Tigers, especially in the Shawfield era. His radio broadcasts must've put bums on seats. So we have to be grateful for that. But, why oh why, does he do/say some of the things he does? Surely beneath a man of his intellect and ability. Agree 100%, he does himself no favours in that respect!if it was a football match he would be charged by the Police for inciting the crowd.Knows his stuff but past his sell- by date in this politically correct world that we live in nowadays. mythman666
Dick Barrie may have his critics. ...but love him or hate him his knowledge of our sport is vast. I have been lucky enough to have numerous conversations with him and I have found him and his point of view very interesting. And when you go to other tracks and hear some of the drivel from the centre green you realise just how good he really is!
