Berwick 2014?

Recommended Posts

Now here is an idea to put to the Promotion as an extra bit of entertainment, and fan involvement.

Have an open mic night: but not in the musical sense.

Invite the armchair experts to have a go as centre green announcer.
Maybe make it one meeting and give each person a 15 minute slot.

It could be good fun.

I know folk who would do it, I would bet the ones on here critical of Dick, wouldn't though.

It takes baws to do that, but it takes nothing to hide behind a computer and criticise.

They should at least be offered the chance to show their fantastic expertise, though.

I guess the Bandits folk on here are pretty pleased with their team and promotion this time, as they are reduced to complaining about the announcer.

For those who wanted Vaclav Millik to sign up, I see it took the richest club in the country to lure him to England. Bandits are too well run these days to get involved in paying out for pigs in pokes like young Berge and Millik, both of who might well be World Champions-elect but right now are demanding too much for a low-budget, minor-market club.

I suppose you know what Glasgow are paying Berge, and Poole Millik,I bow to your superior knowlege. :o

point out the complaints? Most posts are regarding his longevity which are valid.Though you were in Oz.!!!!!!!!!

It seems that Mr Barries self announced retirement was slightly premature, giving that fact he attended virtually every meeting last season.

You don't have to be good at something to know someone else sucks at it.

I used to like Dick but he went down in my estimations after his disgracefull treatment of Mr gjedde in 2012 he should have been made to apologise in public for that!! What ever the bandits or him for that matter think of mr Gjedde to show it on the PA system is totally unprofessional and Barrie (who in the past mocked other clubs for their unprofessional approach to presentation ) should know better Barrie dragged it in to the gutter that night

Before you say anything am no gjedde fan after what he did to us

Now which One of Dicks personas on here will he use to reply

I'm not going to disagree with you on that one.

I'm also not saying that Dick is splendid, or garbage, that is all down to personal opinion.

Furthermore, I also agree that one does not need to be an expert to appraise the quality of a particular skill.

What I was pointing out is that the cheapest place of them all for cheap shots is on an Internet forum.

Now, a couple of years back, I fired my fingers off a bit too quickly about a certain announcer.

It led to an apology from me.

We need to remember that if we keep sniping away at all the folk who keep the sport running - no matter what we think of them - then we will lose the sport.

There's no need to be happy-clappy, just a bit of common sense.

Let's not kick the sport when it is well and truly down; one of these times it might just not get back up.

he would gain a lot of respect from the haters and doubters if he for once accepted he is wrong and apologise for offending the supporters but I do think that it is about time dick was put out to grass once and for all .It takes a big man to admit he's wrong and say sorry publicly will dick ever do that probably not but we can dream

Sir Barrie is great at what he does. Fantastic having a guy who knows the sport on the centre green unlike the clueless nice for radio voices at most tracks.

Bellego to end the season as Berwick Number 1?

I thoroughly respect your appraisal of Mr Barrie.

Bellego, I can't quite make my mind up.

He'll be good to watch, that's for sure.
