wjm
Tacey gusted for Rye (questionable if he should have been) and got a 15 point max (I think), Rye winning at Exeter when they shouldn’t have (in theory) was pretty big for them. screm
It's encouraging to hear from some that Matej has been getting a bit of form and confidence recently. Believe it or not, I'm in agreement with Screm, it is now up to the management of him to make sure he achieves his potential. Â If he does, then he will be a great signing, if not, well that is just speedway. Â I think Liam has to be a certainty at number 7, providing it works for him. His results for Edinburgh were very good for such a young lad. Â That shows he is able to improve, which takes takes and application. I'm all for having him in the team. Â Watch this, we'll have a team that doesn't excite on paper, but delivers on track. Mark my words! Â Theres one or two on here who see Kus as a risky signing and I can see why giving some of his performances for Redcar last season. But theres a decent rider there somewhere, hopefully we will see that at Berwick. Â Ive no doubt we will see Carr in the 2014 Berwick team,I must admit Ive got some of the same reservations about Carr as some have about Kus.My worry is that Carr isnt at PL standard yet, though theres only one way to find out I suppose. One things for sure if Berwick look elsewhere then Carr will be in the PL with another club. One thing that could aid things is that he remains in the NL,last season he was putting in some decent scores for Buxton,if hes winning races and scoring well at NL level then that can only be a good thing for Berwick at PL level. Agree on both counts screm. Carr is just starting to look good and getting deserved points. To not include him, and let someone else have him, does not and would not seem right to most folks. Â Kus is the new enigma. The events in Argie when his friend was killed, seems to be still with him, and only time will erase that from his memory. He is the original 0303 points scorer, a brilliant gater but does not try if behind. Pity he does not perform like he does when he is at the Redcar training days that I attend. He is flat-out and throwing the bike in the first bend from just after the start gate. He is s different rider, and it is a great shame he isn't repeating that type of riding during meetings. The shape of Berwick is not dissimilar to Prague, where he flew round as a wildcard in a Prague GP, so with a bit more confidence he could come good and surprise everyone. It's in there, but how you get it out is a mystery. Â It was obvious he was leaving Redcar, as in their last PO meeting against us, he walked dejected around the track, shaking hands and taking with everyone, and even throwing some racing gear into the crowd as if he was saying his goodbyes. I said it on the night. All the best Matej.
Pinny
Far better rider than the 0's and 1's he was regularly scoring last season. Has the talent of a top PL rider.
bigeddiechek
I don't do this very often, but here goes with my "dream team": Â Doolan 7.51 Bellego 6.36 Vissing 6.89 Kus 6.19 Alden 7.37 Stickhauer 4.56 or new 5.00) Carr 3.00 41.

But there may be at least one surprise signing to come.

Arson fire
Â you could also use Tomas Piszcz at reserve on a 5.10 converted from his last EL stint in 2012 can poles now ride in the PL??
mythman666
Â you could also use Tomas Piszcz at reserve on a 5.10 converted from his last EL stint in 2012 If he was on a 5.1 average you would take that all day long, however I don't think Poles will ride in the PL unless they ride on an ACU licence, and I would imagine he would come in on his old PL average, however I could be wrong on this. Â Very interesting times ahead, I think we all knew the team would look a little different this year, not many thought this different.
