Berwick 2014?

Recommended Posts

Now that it seems that Josef Tabaka will miss the start of next season, wonder if that inceases the chances of Edinburgh using Matty Wethers.

no interested as this berwick page not workington

We`ve named our teams, debated them, suggested other riders and debated them also, with only one rider signed so far its little wonder that this thread has slightly go off subject.

Wait any longer and we`ll be debating Berwicks nicest car parks.

My kids would go for the one just under the bridge and up from the market place.... Someone leaves a lovely trike there for people to try out and they love climbing all over it .... Brum brum :) :)

You can bet the owner will have a snyper placed on the walls above from now on. ;)

Wrong. Both Rusty and his mate Clinton ? came over and stayed at Newcastle with current promoter Darryl Illingworth. We were looking for an 8 pointer at the time, but neither were going to be that so they rode second halfs at Newcastle and several other tracks. Brian Sands offered him a place at Glasgow and Clinton went home.

Clinton Leitch.

Was Scott Smith not with them at the same time? I seem to remember 3 Aussies in second half races at Brough.

Rusty was the obvious pick of them, even then.

Looks like I'm wrong but I'm still a youngster and still learning.

Heh, heh.

All this anxiety, like the spoilt kid who can't wait for Christmas!

I'm sure we will have a team worth going to watch come the new season.

One thing is for sure, Saturday evenings are a Hell of a lot more boring during the winter.

I say it should be a 12 month season.

I remember when Harrison first came over, around the same time as Doolan. Wanted a place at Newport but was never going to get near 9.00.

Smith I remember at Newport in 2001 and 2002 I think... extremely entertaining, a lively charactor and a good middle order man who I think if he kept away from the booze could of gone on to be a decent EL rider. He certainly had more talent than Harrison.
