screm
Yes I'd be pleased if Bellego had returned also. Great entertainer. Just surprised that his average isn't higher. Previously advised that this was due to inconsistency. Any idea what caused the inconsistency? Bellegos gating does let him down at times, and if he to make the step from being dependible second string to dominant heat leader, then he needs to be more sharper away from the starts. Also he has struggled in some away meetings, one look at the averages will tell you that.Last year Bellego averaged 8-57,which is very good, though only 5-78 away, again like his gating his away scoring needs to be more consistant. Overall though Im pleased to see Bellego back, hopefully he will get an EL club,if that happens he can become a decent PL rider for Berwick. Certainly going to be a very different looking Berwick team that takes to the track next year.Kozza Smith off to Redcar,Starke off to Somerset and Ricky Ashworth currently recovering from injury. Its difficult to see Aspgren & Edberg coming back and we already know that Barrett wont return. screm
Ta I hope he can kick on. Does he ride on the continent/grasstrack/long track? He has signed a contract to ride in Poland on 2014,he has dabbled in the Longtracks which has caused some problems in missing Berwicks meetings.Something I hope that wont happen next year. Fromafar
Ta I hope he can kick on. Does he ride on the continent/grasstrack/long track? He definitely has that touch of class that will take him to greater things with luck.Stylish and fast when he gates and not just at Home.Does Long tracking and is quite successful and as he is French he is one of their top riders so is under pressure from them at times .
neil
Well with The announcements of other teams in last few days it is going to be a very different line up from 2013, looking at top end riders there are not many out there, new assets may well be best way to go, Is Brenton Barnfield still riding? maybe him & Berge would be the way forward. Looking at averages Chris Harris would be allowed to ride premier if his converted 6.82 Elite league average remains, making 11.59 in the premier. Highly unlikely but if he didn't do it this year he will surely averge over 7.00 in the EL ruling outthe possibility in future.
Willowman
Good to hear Paul Starke comes recommended by Bandits fans. So come on Berwick promotion. Get your team declared. My first team is sorted. Now how about my second?

havenagotahope
Looking like Kenneth Hansen or Magnus Karlsson, 9.7 or 8.4 or Rasmus Jensen still available on 7.0 and don't think he made the Plymouth asset list or as a new asset Nikolaj Busk Jakobsen on 7.

There must be a few Elite League riders who could double-up, Scott Nichols? New assets are great, as long as they are reasonably close to their assessed averages. If they don't achieve this, all the "new blood" callers will be calling for their blood. Can't win as a speedway promoter.
havenagotahope
Sorry Ed Scotty Nicholls comes in on 12.58 so over the limit which is just as well as rides Berwick like an amateur

Robinh88
Ref Nicholls He was about as much use at Berwick as I was at Cycle Speedway... Ref Bellego - He is probably the most naturally uncaptured talent the Bandits have had for a good while. At certain times last year he really was looking a cut above pre U21 Qualifier I'm sure Cieslak had praised him in the Polish press. Still has the inconsistant side in him. I query whether not having a spell at reserve may have helped David back in 2012. Hopefully in 2014 we can make Shielfield a bit more of a fortress. While picking up the usual 2 or 3 away wins. Not sure what happened to Emilali? He was really keen to race for the club....
