screm
Â Nice team in depth, but five loan tansfers ? Not only 5 loanees but weak at reserve IMO,good idea to sign 1 of Starke and Carr but not both as I think whatever points you gain in Ht1 you`d be almost certainly be giving back in Ht2,especially away from home.It appears its a case of now or never for signing Liam Carr as if Berwick dont then Edinburgh certainly wiil, which is a bit tough on Paul Starke as IMO he did all that was asked of him in 2013,Carr of course will become a Berwick asset which will tip the scales in his favour. Is Razer willing to take the risk on Liam, his interview the other week that he gave seemed to imply he would not take the risk. As you said if he is not signed by Berwick then Edinburgh will. For me, sign Liam Carr now, he has some talent, and he is a local lad.
luluthetiger
Of course Berwick will use Liam Carr. No further discussion. Â As to other riders, remember that there may be a surplus of riders in the north for next season with Glasgow not running.

Take my mind off the poor speedway. You heard it here first. Edited November 6, 2013 by TOURETTES

Robinh88
How would Berwick fans feel about Ben Barker leading the Bandits into 2014? Â The best visitor at Shiefield in 2013 for me, other than that thought Barker had a poor season maybe a move up north with the roar of the Bandits support could be a match made in heaven? Â Then again a Berwick fan once famously told me we weere hell bent on signing Gregorz Walasek... a funny bunch....

Carr has come on alot this season, and will sign for Berwick for 2014.My only hope is that if we are about to go with a strength in depth team Carrs reserve partner is one of the best around.Nobody would expect Carr to start banging in top scores straight away so it would make sense that we have a reserve who can. That would rule out Barrett,Edberg and sadly Starke. Â Take it you believe everything that's written. Ive no doubt that what our manager has said it wouldve been checked and cleared with the club. Â Or maybe not.(insert devilish good smiley.) Fromafar
Carr has to be given a chance on a 3pt average, gives a lot of scope regarding second strings and other reserve, surely he impressed enough with Monarchs at the end of season to show he has talent don't think he will be an overnight success but he has time on his side think his finances might hold him back the way people are talking but if he has a Professional approach and gives it 100% that is all you can ask. Too many young riders think they have made when they get aTeam place and get a rude awakening when things go wrong.
havenagotahope
If there is to be no Glasgow next season as sad as that would be, then how about Anders Thomsen to partner Carr at reserve on 4.11 he's a good shout had a hard start to his premier career in a Glasgow team that was struggling and riding mostly in the main body of the team.
