screm
Berwick speedway- Pay to come in, but don't you dare have an opinion! Possibly true with some but certainly not others. While Strarke did a decent job at times, he has been riding for a few seasons and IMO that is his level. Also he is not an asset.Carr is not PL level yet but has to be given the opportunity to see what he can do. Agree with you and hopefully Carr does the job, we cant carry riders, been there before and it failed miserably.Im sure on decent gear Liam Carr will do ok. Fromafar
Berwick will be mid table..... lets not kid ourselves here lads Does it really matter if we are mid table if the entertainment and commitment of the riders is good .There is only one team can be Champions every season and lets faced nobody remembers runners-up. IMO the team on paper in recent season has not performed on the track for various reasons some bad luck but also some poor management of riders performances. It is not an easy job trying to put a speedway team together (on paper yes) that will get the right result. The management have done a good job off- track they now need to concentrate about on -tracks matters.
Robinh88
Well we have neither so really mid table is about the best we can hope for, as long as the boys are having a good time playing crazy golf on race days. It's not bad luck, we're just not very good

Absolutely, we've had decent teams on paper at the start of the last few seasons yet somehow some of the riders seems to get away with under performing on a regular bases.Of course nobody wants the riders to ride with fear of losing their jobs but I don't think it does any harm to let them know that poor performances wont be tolerated either and that's what part of the managers job is. .....but will entertain, have some good meetings -- and survive to race again in 2015. Survival in this current climate is an achievement in itself for Berwick.

Fromafar
I see Rob Branford was hinting that Berwick would suit him and was disappointed he couldn't have been back this season. He would be worth a punt IMO was unlucky in his time with us.

There are 4 or 5 Berwick 'fans' on here who would not be happy if the sun shone out of their own backsides.

But no better than Paul Starke IMO,a reserve pairing from Branford,Starke and Carr would be very weak.If Carr is to be one of the reserves than his partner had better be a decent points scorer both home and away on a regular bases.

screm
Which ones were decent teams? I'll be interested in your reply Screm At no point in the last few seasons have I though Berwick had a team that would challenge for the PL title, but nor did I think we`d have a team that would finish just a place or two from bottom and our season finishing in September, and had it not been for a rain-off and the Ashworth meeting our season wouldnt have made even that. The team that had Rymel,Rempala(Marcin),etc seemed to be going places then was torn to pieces by injury, since then we`ve been promised much but realised very little. One things for certain theres going to be alot of interesting eyes cast as our promotion puts the 2014 team together.

Bandits4eva
No, that's the wrong way round! Actually, I disagree lulu.. Yes, I know taffy personally and yes, he can be a pain in the proverbial but he is one man who puts his money in to help riders and apart from going to the Golden helmet, has rarely missed a home meeting.. More than could be said for some!
