Will work other way round also !

Andy's right - for all those that cannot make Sundays, there'll be another group who cannot make Thursdays, and would be delighted to turn up on a Sunday. Could even be more, with many more likely to bring their kids along and make a day of it.

Added bonus in that it doesn't clash with the Scandinavian league, but they'll have to get in quick to claim any promising youngsters, before the Poles snaffle them for one of their teams - Poland is much more promising and easier to get to for most Nordic's.

So all the regulars who have supported the Tigers for years on thursday's can go to hell if they cant do sundays.....Great!

I love thursday nights at owlerton and have done for 15 years but you have to look at the bigger picture!

Thing is I dont think many more, if any more will turn up on sundays.

This is not just me Andy a few people I've spoken to about it feel the same....Oh well it might not happen lets wait and see, as for us running next year the promotion are already making noises as to the team so I dont think we need worry on that one..(He says hopefully)

Might be something that could be taken out of the Promotions hands, with the air fence been made compulsory, and the time it takes to put it up could mean that we would need to run Sunday to have the time to put one up.

I don't think that we would make a significant rise in crowds running Sunday, but I don't think we would see a significant fall in crowds.

I do wonder whether the stadium owners are putting pressure on the Promotion to run Sundays instead.

Of course you would spend; we would all spend on the team no matter what wouldn't we? That's because we are spending monopoly money; Mr Machin is spending the real thing. I do agree it has been a drastically unlucky season but every time Sheffield have made changes to put things right they have been hit by another unfortunate incident. There comes a time when you batten down the hatches; ride out the storm and wait to make decisions in calmer waters; not ideal but probably the most sensible approach bearing in mind the general uncertainties around the sport and the economy.

And by the looks of things at other clubs, other promoters are spending monopoly money too!!

Stadium owners have wanted us to run on sunday for years, thursday night greyhounds they can sell a lot better than sunday!

Exactly, some fans need to realise that the speedway is 3rd out of 3 with regard to popularity of the sports that take place at Owlerton, therefore we have the least bargaining points, and if the only way of continuing with speedway in Sheffield means having to race on Sundays, then that is what will happen. Of course, that doesn't mean everyone has to like it! That said, I don't work on Sundays so I would still be able to go.

No Sunday's for me. The people who I stand with will not be coming Sunday's either. I can remember last year when it was muted I think it was pretty even for and against. We will have to just wait and see.

Steady riding for Swindon was the reason for the possibility of sunday this season

sunday for the PLRC is ok, but every week in the summer, other things to do at weekends , and will he run against football? or will they be blank weeks

mind you Mr machin did say to me last year that no one who goes to speedway supports football anyway, how about that for knowing your support

I would not worry about running against Football on a Sunday.

Unless we run a meeting on 29th December there is only one local football fixture that is played on a Sunday Sheffield United on the 13th October other than that date no further clashes this football season.

Think somebody better start a thread titled Sheffield 2014. Is there any one out there really bothered about anything clashing with the remaining Tigers fixtures for this year?
