greyhoundp
Just about to start on my way, first time i have ever used a sat nav, i hope whoever is riding, they stay safe, and we have an enjoyable meeting, this wont be an easy meeting for The Heathens, with Boxall i give Kent a slight edge, without him, it has to be The Heathens. TMW
With still no news on Steve i think we are all realizing what a serious loss to the forum ,Nikko is... Â But there is nothing on the official channels either which is poor to anyone's standards. I would go with no news being good news.
Guest
But there is nothing on the official channels either which is poor to anyone's standards. I would go with no news being good news. Â I agree in regard to if Steve Boxall will ride or not. With less than five hours to the start of the meeting it is not good PR by the club. As you say TMW - "I would go with no news being good news." Â By the way, as Rye House have a match against Berwick who will be Kings' team manager? waco
Id expect Len will manage at Rye and John S will manage the Kings...Id also go along with the no news is good news,on Steve .. There must be a reason why nothing has been announced

Guest
Boxall isn't riding for the Kings but i don't know who is. Â There will probably be an announcement before the meeting about this if Steve Boxall isn't riding so fans can make any needed amendments to their programme. A bit late for updates on the Kings' website just two hours (01.05pm now) before the start. Edited August 26, 2013 by Guest

blueherb777
A deserved 3 points to the Super Kings.Even with Boxall only half fit,the other riders took up the mantle and gave the big crowd a great victory.
phillipsr
Boxall did indeed ride. Nice win for the Kings
Craftman
What's a big crowd for Kent ? Anything above 200 at Stoke is considered big
waco
Yes despite the pre meeting mystery Steve Boxall rode ,,firstly he was limping in the pits before the meeting ..still he managed to easily hang on to the Bronze Helmet against Ashley Morris... later Morris got tangled with Steve in heat 13 comeing out of the 2nd bend i think it was the third lap ,not sure ,i thought it was a racing incident from where i was on the center green,, any way it cost Steve 2nd place behind Ben Morley who had a strong night with 12 from 5 rides.. Steve was not to happy about it after the race and a bit of handbags at close range took place and that was the last we saw of him as he limped off the track.. So this was a very entertaining meeting in more ways than one..The Kings ran out winners by 49 to 41 points an excellent performance from the lads,...David Mason celebrated a paid 4 ride max and deserved the rider of the meeting award ,this was easily Davids best performance of the season and he looked quick,,Elsewhere Jack Kingston is looking faster every week,3 good wins in his 10 score ,,had one nasty fall, but they too are reducing on a weekly basis,, i have high hopes he will make a decent rider.. Adam Kirby looked a bit down on power I know he likes long stroke engines but im not sure that is the best way to go in this day and age Connor battled hard with out to much reward for his efforts, and Benji Compton was up and down for his decent 7 point total For the visitors Paul Stark was excellent as usual round here recording 3 victorys in his 13 points.. Good back up from the battling Ashley Morris only let down a bit by his gating and a fall,, all the other Dudley lads chipped in with points to make this probably the best meeting here this year..Played out in front of a huge very enthusiastic crowd swelled by a large number of equally enthusiastic Dudley fans Edited August 28, 2013 by waco
morganbike
Boxhall the boxer defo threw his dummy out the pram and to punch another rider in the face after a no fault come together has not done him any favours. When you wear goggles a punch in the face can be very bad with the hard plastic and lens pushing hard into the nasal area and eyes. In my opinion he should have been fined and I hope he never guests for the heathens again. He should keep his dummy and rattle in the pushchair 😱 Edited August 26, 2013 by morganbike
pete cc
Well done Kent Kings, you are the best team we have ridden at home this season & the first to beat us in a league meeting. This is a development league & both of our clubs are doing just that. Lets hope that the development of young riders continues

TMW
I can't deny I was a little disappointed with the barrage of abuse toward the tweeters on the updates site. We can't all be know it all's. I think they have done a good job so far and just because they had an off night they get slated. Hope they learn that in speedway you can't take things personally. Heathen1984
I have to agree there Morgan, as boxall put his dummy back in now. Don't like being overtaken by looks of that!
deathbymilkfloat
Well done Kent made the gate and that was that, what I was surprised at was the volume of the cheering when a Dudley rider fell,if that had been Dudley fans cheering fallen Kent riders they would have been slated once again
