drosser
Mod NOTE: Post split from another topic as it was resurrecting a 3 year old topic with irrelevant discussions which was also badly and slightly misleadingly headed I had not thought about Alf for years but recently heard that the great guitarist Bert Weedon had died last year, aged 91. I wondered if they were related and did a search for Alf's details which led to this thread. From the earlier posts, I assume that Alf, assuming that he is still fit and well, will be 93 - a bit unlikely to be Bert's dad but does anyone know if they are related? It is not a particularly common name. Alf was a top class 'snapper' and must hold an amazing collection of photos - it would be great if someone could provide a selection for an online gallery. Parsloes 1928 nearly
I didn't know that Bert Weedon was Alf's son. Even at my age I learn something new every day. Ha, Bert Weedon was born in 1920... Alf would need to be about 120 years old to be Bert's father!!!!

The complete collection of speedway photos by Alf Weedon are now the copyright of the John Somerville Collection. Alf's work frequently appears in both 'Backtrack' and 'Classic Speedway" magazines. Subscriptions to both will give you the chance to see examples of Alf's work at regular intervals.
