Redcar Bears Vs Leicester Lions 15/8/2013

Recommended Posts

So the final play-off place is now a straight fight between Redcar and Leicester. Think Redcar's only saving grace is the final home match is against a poor Glasgow team.

Wouldnt be a surprise if that went pear shaped as well , much like the local football side who have a habit of breaking runs , Glasgow not got a point away this season i think i stand to be corrected but definetly no away win the script is written.

Oh Dear not looking fantastic is it.

Think I might play it safe with this one, shame . Thanks for the post, and hope it is on for the people taking the gamble.

Bet you wished you'd gone now. I know the feeling though as there's nothing worse than deciding whether it's worth risking the journey when the weather is dodgy. Sod's Law it will be on if you don't go and it's even worse when you don't go and your team win.

And it wouldn't be the first time a crap Glasgow side spoilt the party for bears/tigers side over the years either

So, let me get this...... not tyre warming before race gets under orders.. But actually having the rear wheel spinning, whilst keeping the bike stationary on the start line, under the green light, therefore having the rear wheel spinning when the tapes go up? Has he done this sort of thing before?

Terrible performance by the bears but fair play to Leicester, they really wanted that tonight.

You just can't afford to have your number 1 not only not score, but never not look like scoring. Only really dyer and Skidmore can come out with any credit. Most entertaining Parton the meeting was the scrap between summers and Doolan!

Shocking performance by the Bears, yes Dyer and Skidmore were a little better than the rest, but a top score of 9, and only 5 heat wins between the team is very poor for a top of the table, play off chasing team. The track once again looked very good, even when it was getting wet, the big bump going into the 1st bend has gone and the track looked smooth. It seems the better the track the worse we ride it.

a good win for the loins and maybe we could of won by a lot more but i did hear there were some tactics in place to stop the bears from using the black/white.

its not often you see four of your riders scoring 10 each away from home and a good choice of guest in ryan, hopefully we will use him again.

I'm told that Kus was unlucky in this instance, apparently his back wheel spoiler was loose and this was turning, but not his actual wheel, so he wasn't spinning - something I've not heard of him doing before. That said he could have done with having a flying start, preferably 15 m ahead - at least then he would have been competitive (for a few laps!!)

Great result for the Lions. Looks like it now gives us the slight adavntage over the bears for 6th spot as well. Good to see Graversen getting some points on the board away from home for the second meeting running. Well done to Glyn and the boys!

I know what a bugger.

But at least the result was right.

Weird sport. A team dispatched home and away last weekend win comfortably at Redcar, a side that has been up around the top of the league all season.
