DutchGrasstrack
more to the piont who is replacing gollop I think it's safe to say that Harris is replacing Tomek .. If he wants by the way, if not then it will be Batch.

Walshy1974
And there are 12 SGP rounds as opposed to four in the SEC ... One can only assume there'll be 4 rounds like this year. I thought the SEC was an excellent advert for speedway as a whole. Even if the GP riders are banned there is an excellent 5,6,7 whatever the number in Europe that can entertain just as much. more to the piont who is replacing gollop Replacing him in what? Have I missed something about the great MR G? Someone posted possibly Batch!? One must then presume he's not going to do the GP. As Batch can't participate in an European event. f-s-p
My quote isn't working, so Dutch and PZ: It's clearly in the 2013 rules that Harris will replace Gollob for 2014. But the rules for 2014 are not yet published. Now if lets say Emil starts playing dirty having signed his SGP entry form and refuses to ride, the FIM (with some flexing of rule 077.3.3., paragraphs 4 and 5) has the power to ban him at all tracks during GP weekends...

Really???. Gollob has a wild card for 2014...and the rules ( as you see them) don't apply to wild cards.

f-s-p
Really???. Gollob has a wild card for 2014...and the rules ( as you see them) don't apply to wild cards. it says along the lines that once the lineup is announced and someone retires, the substitute list come to play and bomber is first in line. As I see it, the lineup means the 8+3+4 riders for 2014. Not just the top 8 from 2013.

Ghostwalker
FIM/FIm-Europe have officially withdrawn the threats and attempts to ban SGP riders in the SEC. They cite that it would be against the rights of the Europeans Union. http://www.speedwaynyheter.se/sgp/fim-drar-tillbaka-blockaden-av-forare/
PHILIPRISING
HOPEFULLY this is the case but until the FIM confirm, and they haven't, not sure we can call it official.
pandorum
FIM/FIm-Europe have officially withdrawn the threats and attempts to ban SGP riders in the SEC. They cite that it would be against the rights of the Europeans Union. http://www.speedwaynyheter.se/sgp/fim-drar-tillbaka-blockaden-av-forare/ We dodged a bullet there as Harris would have grabbed that chance to bore us like a drowning man reaching for a slab of concrete. Hopefully Gollop will be OK too as he is the only thing standing between the SGP and Chris Harris a bulwark against dullness so to speak. iris123
HOPEFULLY this is the case but until the FIM confirm, and they haven't, not sure we can call it official.Going round in circles a bit here Phil. But applying this to the Gollob situation, how could the FIM announce an official line-up until Gollob had confirmed he was in?The official confirmation of course being his contract which he never sent!!!! PHILIPRISING
BECAUSE he accepted his wild card invitation... once the wild cards have been chosen, the riders notified and their acceptance received the FIM add their names to those who have qualified either via the top eight or the Challenge and publish the official line-up for the following year. That's their procedure, whether you or I like it or not. Now, in the light of what has happened this year apropo Gollob, they might wish to change that procedure but as of this year the published line-up was official. iris123
Let's hope they do change procedures, because at the moment it seems they stumble from one problem into another and all of their own making.Fingers crossed that yourmando Armando gets to grips with the place
SCB
Gollob can't have the place now. You lot are phenomenal. You moan that riders who decided they didn't want to be reserve for the GP challenge should have been offered the place in the 1-16 and NOT the reserve (completely negating the point of a reserve). And now you're saying a rider who has quit the GP's should get his place back now things have changed. He didn't want it a week ago he can't have it now. I turned down a job in 2008, do you think I can go back and ask them for it back now as my circumstances have changed?
