RebelRebel
Crikey! Just seen the preview for this one on the Rebels' website and I must say it looks like being an even bigger win than the last 3! Jorgensen guest at 1, R/R for Haines and Brendan Johnson at reserve. No disrespect to Sheffield but if the Rebels don't hit at least 60-65 it'll be considered a poor result!
Massey Harris
No disrespect to Sheffield. just Thomas, Joe and Brendan. Wonder why nobody wants to go to Somerset on a Wednesday? Sheffield were good enough to take the fixture and they have massive injury worries but I am sure they are doing their best in very difficult circumstances, as Edinburgh found out on Friday - Sheffield don't know when they're beaten and put on a great show.. Hel'n'Back
I'm sure the Sheffield Select will do their best!
Charlieboy
Thomas Jorgensen ? Surely this team is below minimum points limit ? So we cant get a higher average guest ? Fear the worst.

Could be that there is not that many available. Will be interesting to see how we go.
AllyN
As Poole are racing on Wednesday night in a fixture which I presume hasn't been re-arranged from another date, then I suppose it will mean no Josh G for the Rebels on Wednesday. Â Can anyone confirm this please?

Can anyone confirm this please?  I was wondering the same but surely he would be riding for the Rebels as he signed for Poole after the fixture was rearranged so that rule shouldn't come into effect should it? That's my thinking anyway. Edited August 12, 2013 by RebelRebel

Can anyone confirm this please?  Josh will be riding for Somerset, as he only signed for Poole a matter of weeks ago.  This should be a thrashing of epic proportions. Compton was dire for Glasgow here a few weeks back, and whilst Jorgensen normally goes well here, he is by no means a number 1. Ricky Wells could beat a few but there's a good chance of the top 4 going unbeaten yet again here. 60+ for the Rebels.
oldtimer
On the Rebels web site match preview it lists Thomas Jorgensen as a 9-33 average, but according to the green sheets his latest average is 6-89. Are there two Thomas Jorgensen's?

oldtimer
A guest 'assumes' the average of the rider he is replacing. I forgot that, so Sheffield are replacing their injured number one on a 9-33 average with someone who's true average is 6-89, bit of a joke, is it not? Charlieboy
Probably cheapest option knowing we going to get hammered anyway. Not too long ago we had a good record against somerset, now the gulf between us is vast. How times change !!!!!!!!!!!!!! RebelRebel
According to the Poole preview for their match on Wednesday, a decision on Josh has yet to be made! It says they are waiting for the "Racing Authorities" to make a decision! I think it would be rather unfair on the Rebels if Josh is told to ride for Poole even though he only signed for Poole a couple of weeks ago and the Rebels match was rearranged way before he signed. But as we all know, this is the SCB we're talking about so you never know... Edited August 13, 2013 by RebelRebel

But as we all know, this is the SCB we're talking about so you never know... Â 1) This is a rearranged fixture, so the 'PL priority' agreement doesn't apply. Â 2) You mean BSPA, not SCB. I think? Â 3) Who cares? Weather looks good, Sheffield have some energetic riders (Albin, for a start) and it is an extra night out.
Lord Antebellum
I'll be coming up for this one, as it is a Wednesday, which suits me nicely. Better than football against the Jocks. Â Looking forward to some good racing and parallel entertainment rather than the rather intense must-win-at-all-costs attitude we see at times. Â Speedway should remember it is in the entertainment business, the average casual spectator can be put off by too much of the "gotta win or we'll change the team again" stuff some clubs seem to adopt. graz gp
Sheffield have no chance. The team are just not good enough, they try hard but it's just not happening.
Brooksy
Sheffield have a fantastic record at the OTA, but on all known current form, this should be a big win for the Rebels, whether Josh rides or not. Can only see another 20+ points win. Good warm-up for the weekend tests though.

As i said, professional job needed.
