Could be a close match with such a strong reserve in Aspgren. Hopefully lions will pick up a rare 3 point victory to avenge the 3 points i think they will lose the night before when the teams clash at Hoddesdon

Not forgetting it is a 7.30pm start for this meeting instead of the usual 6pm.

Robert must be having a holiday as he has not been on much recently. Perhaps its because the racing has been better recently (except for The Pride of the Midlands)

That's the meeting I had the misfortune to be at

3 points is a must !! Lets hope Nemo finds some form,

hoping so. Hopefully Sargeant will get a few points on the board as well. I think remember Mellgren looking very handy at BP before and Nelson and Bunyan have looked decent when they've gated (as most riders do at BP). Lyke also looked decent when he gated last year (i think it was his debut) but he appears not to gate at all any more so i can see him struggling. The key to to the Lions 3 points is how many Aspgren scores in his 7 rides. I think our top 5 may clean up today.

There's a lot of if's and but's about the Rockets line up. On the evidence of last night Olly Allen may struggle with his arm. I'm not expecting anything from Josh Bates and the rest, who knows?

I'd be very happy with a point, but I think that may be beyond us on this occasion. With a full strength injury free line up I'm sure we could sneak a win.

Last night Tyson Nelson was at 3 and Anders Mellgren at 5. Not sure if they're sticking to that tonight

Josh Grajczonek now guesting at no. 1 as Olli's arm has swollen up overnight.

Josh's last visit to Leicester in June... 3, R (at the gate), 6!, 2' = 11+1

Well, that shocked a few people. Even I would've been happy with a point. In the end young Josh Bates with his 2 important points made the difference. A very happy Rye House fan :D

I hope altering the start time because of the football was worth it. Unfortunately my other half didn't make it because the traffic was horrendous so he had to turn back and miss the speedway tonight for the first time this season. Would be interesting to know if any Lions fans on here went to the football match in view of the promotion's keeness to make sure they could attend both matches?

I saw a family wearing Leicester City shirts troop in just before the start
