you could argue that with leicester having scored more race points then they go through

It goes on Race Points difference, which is why the League Table shows Redcar in 6th and Leicester 7th.

The cut off date hasn't been and gone yet.

The re-staging date has been provisionally arranged for 28 Sept. Cut off date is 16 Sept. That's after the cut off, so the current 6th and 7th places won't change.

well that is a stupid way of doing things!! should all be decided on all things equal. Redcar should race b4 the deadline, if they do not then lions last match should be void !!

Using that logic, every team's last match should be void. But even that wouldn't be equal as some teams' last matches are easier than others. As much as I hate the play-offs as a way to decide the winners of a league season, we all know the rules at the start. If we hadn't dropped so many home points we would have made the play-offs on our own merit rather than hoping for other teams' results to go our way and for matches to not fall victim to the weather.

Don't talk like an idiot, Leicester have had a meeting more than Redcar.

They will extend the cut off date as simple as that.

As the Lions have had one more match than the bears they have had the opportunity to score 3 or 4 points more!

Then they would be in front of the 'Bears' if they had done better wouldn't they?

As you say - they have had MORE chance.:P

Id say an extension of the cut off is logical so long as its practical and timely. ie can it be run in say the next 3-5 days.

After that it would severely interfere with the planning of the play off dates.

If that timesale is not possible or indeed it is felt that any extension would cause planning problems then its bye bye Leicester however harsh that may be.
