Buxton V Kent Kings, 11/08/2013, Nl

Kent Kings ran the Hitmen close on their last visit in may ,,Steve ,Ben and Adam all performing well there .A good result may depend on David,Mason,s performance ,,,,and the youngsters to nick a few points ...The track up in the hills can sometimes be a bit rough and heavy , SteveBoxall will love it... Ben Morley quite likes it ,,and we now have the added scoring power of Benji Compton who can do better than his debut score of 4+1 in May ,now he is dialed in ,,Of course Buxton have the points machine in Charles Wright , and good back up from Adam Mckinna ,,,, and Liam Carr is more than capable ...This one could go to the wire.....Hope all the riders have a good safe meeting,,, Wether we deserve to win there Gustix will surely depend on how we ride as a team on the day ,,,,

It would be nice to think that Buxton could be the start of a weekend double - with a win there, then another success against Coventry in Monday's rescheduled match.

Buxton, one of my favourite Tracks to visit versus Kent who i would like to see do well. If Kent reproduce the fight and spirit they showed at Monmore Wood recently, then this could be a pretty close meeting, just a word of advice to the Kent riders, If the Track is heavy, stay on the inside to mid track, and you will be Ok, if you take a middle to wide line, 9 times out of 10, you will end up eating shale, or kissing the safety fence. Good luck to both Teams and stay safe.

I think the key factor in Kings' hopes of a win will be how David Mason scores as he continues his come-back. Steve Boxall, Benji Compton and Ben Morley should spearhead the visiting firepower in the chase for points.

As I stated on the updates site it is worrying that Halifax Tiger has said the track looks unsafe. Something has to be seriously wrong.

Buxton seem to be coping though? Let's hope JTW doesn't hear about this...?

Sounds like the track was the usual ploughed field with riders falling all over the place ,,not a good advert for speedway ,,Jack Kingston badly injured and Boxall withdrawn from the meeting ,,does anyone know why,,???,, as we have another meeting tomorrow ,,a disaster apart from Mason and Morley..

It's back to National League business and looking for that deserved away win at Buxton.

Well at least I was right in regard to David Mason while it was nice to see another good score from Ben Morley.

Now we must wait for the post mortem on the 60-31 defeat.

Interesting to note that not one Buxton rider fell on a track that the Kent contigent have deemed 'unsafe' except for Tom Woolley who was knocked off by Steve Boxall. As for being the 'usual ploughed field' Waco you couldn't be further from the truth.

Why did Steve withdraw Jayne ?

Boxall - suspected fractured elbow

Kingston - suspected broken rib

Compton - pulled his shoulder, in extreme pain.

I was not there so can't comment on the track but if HalifaxTiger was raising concerns then as an independent person at the track I would take his comments over the home promoter!

I have now seen photos of the "track", for anyone who has critised Central Park this season or the bad old days at Mildenhall when the "blue groove" appeared after a couple of heats of the PL meetings and then we rode CL meetings afterwards, you have seen nothing compared to what these pictures show of today.
