Paulco
Been busy and just noticed there's no thread yet . No excuses today , if we are to have any hope of avoiding the wooden spoon this season , then three points against injury hit Rye House is a must . No win of any sort for three months is a shocking statistic and that has to be arrested today . Bright and sunny morning in Glasgow , so no immediate weather worries to contend with . So let's hope a decent sized crowd will turn out and get behind the lads . New signings Dakota North and Anders Thomsen make their home debuts , so much to look forward to especially with Josh Grajczonek guesting for the Rockets as well . Line ups for today Glasgow 1 Joe Screen 2 Dakota North 3 Henning Bager 4 Anders Thomsen 5 James Grieves 6 Joey Ringwood 7 Joe Jacobs Rye House 1 Josh Grajczonek (guest) 2 Jason Bunyan 3 Anders Mellgren 4 Ben Hopwood (guest) 5 r/r for Tyson Nelson 6 Kasper Lykke 7 Pontus Aspgren When we defeated the Rockets in the home leg of the KO Cup tie , 52-38 , earlier in the season their best riders were Jason Garrity , Tyson Nelson and Oliver Allen . From an entertainment point of view it's disappointing all those three are missing today . However we just have to concentrate on beating the 6 riders who don the Rockets ' colours this afternoon . Defeat is not an option .

MD
Presumably North is at No2 to counter Bunyan however after today I would like to see him at No4 with Thomson moving to No2. With North out in the opening heat we may even win it!
Shadders
Due to circumstances beyond my control (speedway fixtures released after I'd put my annual leave request in) I am unable to attend. In the past I'd have developed some sort of last minute illness that would have kept me off work for a day or two, but they've cottoned on to that and I've received an official warning. I've decided that having a job is more important than speedway on this occasion. Encouraged by the second half of the meeting at Workington, we could keep this interesting if we get off to a decent start. Weeyin
Ooft another defeat but a consolation on the performance of Anders Thomsen. Josh was outstanding and fully deserved his maximum ( which I predicted he would get) ,good choice of guest for the Rockets, good back up from Bunyan, must be his best Glasgow score! Aspgren is way to good to be at reserve and was a match winner ..Our reserves are struggling big time as did our skipper today, Unusual to see Joe not scoring well at home.. James Grieves, Anders Thomson and Henning Bager, (even though he only scored 5) deserve praise for effort and Dakota North did well considering it was his first time on the new track, good to see him out practicing at the end of the meeting. Can only see a humping next week against Edinburgh and an even bigger one the following week when Somerset come to town... We live in hope that we will see a home win before the end of season!! Paulco
Another Sunday afternoon gubbing in the sunshine . Really canny see where a win will come from if we couldn't win this one . In saying that Rye House were good value for their win in what was actually not the worst meeting you'll ever see . Grajczonek was a class apart , you really couldn't see anyone getting near him today . He had excellent back up from high scoring reserve , Aspgren , and Jason Bunyan . For us , well the usual tale of woe from the tapes . Thomsen was the one bright spark of another disappointing display , he looks a very exciting addition . Looked to be an issue with bend 3 today , with more than one rider struggling with it , and Bager expensively coming to grief on it when leading heat 9 . Nice to see my old mate Halifaxtiger at the track today , that bloke must cover some miles during a speedway season
MD
Rye House were excellent value considering they were effectively a 5 man team, had Nelson been there the score would have been bigger. Mellgren can consider himself unlucky to be disqualified for delaying the start in ht10 when to that point Bunyan had repeatedly not followed the starters instructions and kept pulling back from the tapes. For Glasgow, I just can't see a home win coming. Anders Thomson had as good a debut as you will see, really got stuck in whilst Dakota North looked wild. Three tapes exclusions didn't help for Glasgow, neither did Bagers fall on the last bend on a 5-1. Screen's legend status really is starting to diminish and Joe Jacobs has continued as he has virtually all season, couple of points in ht2 then nought thereafter. Hopefully just once before the end of the season all can click together, I doubt it will be next week though!
Scotty Boy
Really hope lessons have been learnt from this season. The only time we've had a decent (and interchangeable with the main body!) reserve pairing in the last few years we won the league! Hopefully sign up Bager and Thomsen (don't think North will be back) for next season + 5 new faces with a good number 1 and 4 solid in support, can't afford to carry passengers if we want to be play-off contenders. Would consider Ringwood if we were going for one 3 pointer, but after a encouraging start he hasn't kicked on as I thought he would. Top to bottom in 2 years is very disappointing for everyone involved. At least the only way is up.

What worries me is where we find two heat leaders , to replace Screen and Grieves , who'll be able to commit to a Sunday afternoon track ? Lioness
I think Halifax Tiger was right what he said to me - Growl! I think I must be the only one who isnt happy when we lose. Everyone else seems to be 'oooh but what about this, what about that' I must expect too much that I dont want to see the team losing at home. Our last home win was 5th May. The last time Rye House were here we beat them by 14 points. Its a long season this year

Ask Halifaxtiger why he was laughing so much at us , when Derek Smith tried to start a Tigers roar just before heat
