Don't expect much more from him over the years because of this. But where Cook is right now isnt such a bad place to be,representing your Country in the SWC,second in the Belle Vue averages and clear at the top of the PL averages.Its certainly fair to say that any pregress from here next year will be small,and Im sure we wont see Cook in the PL as he could very well pick up teams in Sweden and/or Poland which will bring him on as a rider I hope. For the sake of Team GB for the next few years lets hope they do,must admit though I think theres more drive about Cook than there is about Barker.Woffindens out on his own just now,I dont see Harris,Nicholls etc getting any better,so its up to Cook,Barker,Bridger and others to show the ambition and move their careers on. And he has done 60 meetings and don't need practice. You are using barker as an excuse for him not riding.. What has his article in the sun got to do with this??( he's not even riding at Workington).... just down the road from home??.... Shooting himself in the foot if you ask me, and you and the other monarch spin merchants are loading the gun for him. It's his prerogative if he doesn't want to ride, end of story, but I'm sure he doesn't need people like yourself contradicting what he's said why he's not. Calm doon Mr Fire! First of all I don't do twitter and nowhere on here have I saw what you say mentioned. I'm happy to take your word on that and as a result I don't think Cook is right this time. However, if you read what I said, I was merely asking if the reason was financial or otherwise for Cookie turning down the invite. Look at the first word in my third paragraph! It says "perhaps" - it's called offering an alternative view - having debate on a forum. The most important point is that both Cook and Barker settle their differences off track (peacefully!) and get on with their careers safely.
