oldtimer
Matej Kus is coming back from injury and now having to ride at number 1 replacing disappointing Ostergaard. Kus is on a 7-45 average but is only worth about 6 and I cannot see him or Ostergaard making much of an impact against the Rebels top three. Dyer scored 7 at The Oak Tree recently when guesting for Scunthorpe but cannot see Redcar having many heat wins. Wilkinson at reserve may cause a bit of trouble, however I forecast a comfortable win for Rebels.
gusworld
Good Luck to Simon Lambert tonight making his debut for the Rebels. I think this is an shrewd signing by the management. Simon has a proven liking for the OTA and is an experienced reserve. If he gets his mind right he could prove to be a trump card riding at reserve. Pleased that Simon has got himself fixed up with another club. Never really looked the part around Hoddesdon. Don't think the injury he suffered helped either.
ellioth4
Updates for tonight's meeting. Â Redcar line-up has changed as Matej Kus has moved to number 1 with the August averages. I am not sure of the correct riding order at the moment.
TMW
C'mon the Bears show those Rebels what you are made of :-)
gusworld
Some good racing and a close start then the Bears fell away badly. Well done the Rebels who were firing on all cylinders. Can't believe some of the poor performances from the Bears. Ostergaard was a pale shadow of his former self, Micky Dyer was dire and after a surprise heat 1 win Kus didn't seem to want to mix it anymore. I was expecting Wilkinson to get a double figure score from the reserve berth but even he was very poor. Shame really but just shows the Rebels were rampant.
Starman2006
Well done to the Rebels tonight, and good allround professional performance. It seems the EL is rubbing off on Josh, good rider nice lad. Now you have to do the same on Tuesday..

Dyer scored 7 at The Oak Tree recently when guesting for Scunthorpe but cannot see Redcar having many heat wins. Wilkinson at reserve may cause a bit of trouble, however I forecast a comfortable win for Rebels. Well it was a comfortable win in front of a bumper crowd, but it didn't look so good up until heat 4 when Rebels stepped up a gear. For Redcar Wilkinson was a disappointment and Dyer looked a different rider than when he guested for Scunthorpe, Ostergaard was also poor. Simon Lambert did well and battled away for his points, would probably have scored 5 if he hadn't knocked Skidmore off. Mark Loram was there helping Alex and also speedway legend Mike Broadbank, who said he enjoyed every race and better racing than at Swindon. Good to see the Rebels Rooster back and Kyle got rider of the night. There was a different announcer in the box, and I'm sure he is a nice bloke, but it was hard to hear what he was saying and his announcements of first white, second red, third blue, fourth yellow is a bit amateurish and hopefully if back on Tuesday someone will have given him a bit of tuition before the match. Finally HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Bill Hancock 70 on Sunday, all the team sang happy birthday and presented him with a race jacket with Hancock 70 on the front. Bad news about Ricky Ashworth and can only hope not as bad as the reports seem. Edited August 2, 2013 by oldtimer
