Guest
Can someone from the Kings Management please explain why no supporters etc are allowed in/near the pits any more.Very good move for losing support by this short sighted action. How come I can go to Lakeside and go into the pits?We were near the pits tonight and supporters were not impressed.Even supporters with connection to the riders were not allowed.I have not missed a meeting,I sponsored one of the riders earlier in the season and me and a friend gave money to a rider last week (due to a distasteful incident) yet we are not WORTHY to get anywhere near the pits of a National League Club!!! Could it be 'elf 'n safety issues? I would ask you though - is the league status of a club material to your complaint? No AJ is King. I have sent you a PM. Regards Nikko How intriguing this is. But if there is a valid reason in answer to A J is King's query why is it not being made open knowledge so that others who probably wonder why there are restrictions in regard to the Kings' pits area can also be advised about the restrictions? Parsloes 1928 nearly
So looking forward to being there, oh as a matter of interest do they allow dogs in the stadium, if not I can leave her at home? Hi there - can confirm that (as is pretty common for stadiums which stage greyhound racing) spectators are NOT allowed to bring in pet dogs. Gemini
Thank goodness Coventry don't follow that procedure then as dogs are welcome even though it has greyhound racing. Edward the Golden Retriever even gets to ride round on the victory parade truck.......when the Bees win.
Nikko
How intriguing this is. But if there is a valid reason in answer to A J is King's query why is it not being made open knowledge so that others who probably wonder why there are restrictions in regard to the Kings' pits area can also be advised about the restrictions? Not intriguing at all. I wanted to ask AJ is King specific questions regarding his experience, and as is right and proper this was done via PM. Now he has replied, i will take his comments to the promotion.

Guest
Will the postponement of tonight's league match v Coventry mean the revised date COULD replace next Monday's (August 12) challenge match v Wimbledon? Or will that still stay in the fixtures list rather than rearranging the match v Coventry for that date? Please note the cancelled meeting against Coventry from last night has been rearranged for next Monday, 12th August and replaces the Wimbledon meeting. I will try and find out from the promotion the rearranged date for the Wimbledon fixure as soon as I can. I am sorry for any inconvience. This rearranged fixture was what I expected to happen. New Cross Ranger
Drove from Bromley to Sittingbourne on Monday evening. I wasn't overly optimistic of the meeting taking place as the weather was foul on the way down but in the distance I could see clearish skies which spurred me on. I was checking my twitter account every few miles or so to see if the meeting had been cancelled but no word so still I soldiered on. Yes just ten miles to go and I was through most of the bad weather with clearing skies above and as I pulled into a surprisingly full car park at Central Park the sky was positively mediterranean. The time was 6.25 and just as I pulled into one of the last available parking bays the doors swung open and the spectators spilled out with glum looks on their faces. MEETING CANCELLED! 80 mile round trip in cold blood.

I appreciate that, I feel for the riders and their mechanics when they cover great distances only to be disappointed by cancelled/abandoned meetings. It's not the first time I've driven to a meeting only to find it's been cancelled and won't be the last I dare so we've all been there. Hopefully we'll have better luck & better weather next week.
