pandorum
That is impressive from Dave. It must be hard for English speakers to pronounce some of these riders names and we all are guilty. We had a bit of a debate with Alex Loktaev when he appeared on Danish TV. He used this spelling on the back of his own leathers but both Polish and Danish TV have different spellings. It's a bit of a minefield So that means Bartosz Zmarzlik is pronounced Zmazlik? brandonbee48
So grateful for these streams but..............I do wish our friend on Premier Sports would have a better shot at pronouncing Thomasz' name....................Yed-zay-ak ( emphasis on the 'zay') is the nearest I can recommend, but certainly not Yed-ray-ak. Sorry to be pedantic, but it does grate. Still, on with the match................... I always cut them some slack. My special favourite is the polish " Crease Bomb-bare Harrissee"

manchesterpaul
15-15 over the last five heats, the match needed that 5-1 for the visitors. Do wish (when weather permits) there was an opportunity to practice before meetings which would let the away riders get dialled in (and rough up the track a little). Maybe it's me having a selective imagination in this instance but doesn't Hampel often start off with a poor ride? Even if he doesn't many away riders obviously do. Do feel sorry for Nigel Pearson at times, can you imagine how full of vitriol the posts would be if he tried to interact live on here. Then again he has th elast laught trotting around the globe covering speedway. Amsterdam's Olympic stadium is the quiz answer lol.
Ghostwalker
@mp, there used to be practice before the meetings but it was removed since the track almost always deliberately was changed during grading to give the away team a disadvantage. manchesterpaul
Dave not sure i misheard you, did you say Hans has 7 points? he's scored 2* 3 1 (6 paid 7). Unless anyone else differs? @mp, there used to be practice before the meetings but it was removed since the track almost always deliberately was changed during grading to give the away team a disadvantage. Very interesting, but would it be so hard to make sure they don't regrade the track to the extent it changes it?

Very interesting, but would it be so hard to make sure they don't regrade the track to the extent it changes it? Long been an issue that I have been following. Ask Bob Dugard at Eastbourne if this is possible!! Not so much the state of the track itself as how the graders 'treat' the gates as they pass over the starting line. I remember Alun Rossiter complaining at Kirky Lane that the water cart was over-watering certain gates before races in a meeting a few seasons ago. Not saying it was happening, but if someone like Rossiter brings it up he must know something. Edited July 30, 2013 by lastword
