Brooksy
With the Rebels due to host Redcar this Friday and then Workington on Tuesday, it's good to see the promotion offering discounted admission to the Worky meet to anyone attending the Redcar meet. Produce your admission ticket from Friday on Tuesday and get in for a tenner, saving yourself £5. And it's under 16's in for a quid. Also, to compensate season ticket holders, they are to receive free admission to the Edinboro' KOC Semi. That's how to look after your regular customers!

It only saves us old'uns £2, but well done anyway, hope they get a decent Tuesday crowd. Why is the Worky match on a Tuesday and not a Friday as Worky are a Saturday night club? Can't be short of dates as we had a blank Friday a few weeks ago! Edited July 29, 2013 by oldtimer

It's usually down to rider availability OT, some of our guys have European commitments so any meeting that goes off schedule will be subject to what they have lined up abroad, with Tuesday being your off race night, it was probably the only time we could get our full side there?

Brooksy
Is Doyle riding for Brummies at Lakeside? I certainly hope not! Friday's Redcar fixture isn't a re-arranged one, so Rebels should get priority over Brummies for this one. Especially with their line up change ! ??? Please share! Knowle
I see that Plymouth are due on the Friday. I thought Somerset were limited to one meeting a week.
womble53
I see that Plymouth are due on the Friday. I thought Somerset were limited to one meeting a week. 3 home meets in 8 days now thats entertainment obviously things have changed for the better Just goes to show all the hard work put in by the promotion behind the scenes to grow the club, and work towards bringing fans the best club possible. Another indicator of this is the fact that the middle meeting is on a Tuesday, when in the past the club has been restricted to Wednesdays as the 'off' night. Obviously working with the council over the last couple of years has brought benefits to the club that people are only just starting to notice............long may it continue
Django
workington lineup not anounced yet rene will be at no1 thats all we know for sure Think it will be just a straight swap for Rene and Rich but I would personally go for Rene, Tero, Rich, Rusty, Kyle, Chris and Ash. Kyle could hold his own in heat 13 now and Rich and Rusty have proved they can ride together several times in heat 15 this year

RebelRebel
As I said RESERVE judgement, Welcome Simon Lambert. Have to wait and see how this move pans out but on the face of it, it just seems like replacing bad with just as bad! Why was Lambert dropped from Rye? Because he was pants! But as I said, will have to wait and see. Hopefully a change of scenery will do Simon good. Whatever the outcome, welcome aboard Simon and thank you Tom for his efforts. My bad, I've just read that Simon decided to step down and wasn't dropped. Lets hope that the month off has done him good.
greyhoundp
I dont know whats happening with Tom, but for me unless he improves his gating, gets a decent spannerman, he has reached his level.

Obviously working with the council over the last couple of years has brought benefits to the club that people are only just starting to notice............long may it continue I totally agree, obviously the Council's attitude has changed since the early days. With 3 meetings in 8 days there is a danger that people may give the Plymouth match a miss as the discount is for the Redcar and Workington matches, will be interesting to see how crowds compare. I'm basing this opinion on the fact that for two people to attend all three, it works out at £90-50 for entry, car park and programme over an 8 day period. Fortunately I'm a rich pensioner and money is no object. I dont know whats happening with Tom, but for me unless he improves his gating, gets a decent spannerman, he has reached his level. My impression is Tom's equipment is not fast enough, presumably because he cannot afford better, a real shame but you cannot say that management have not given him every chance to make the grade.
