krompa
I believe there must be some long term plan of SWC Final hosts. Is it going to be new Manchester stadium next year? Or somewhere else?
stevebrum
Thought it was Manchester bound so long as planning permission is in place. Otherwise, Latvia?
BluPanther
Having watched the superb 2009 meeting at the EOES, I would suggest it goes back there until the National Stadium is ready.
LagutaRacingFan
Having watched the superb 2009 meeting at the EOES, I would suggest it goes back there until the National Stadium is ready. Not happening! Rick is very much against the BSI, He feels that they are killing speedway and taking money out of the sport. Stooges who rise up on this forum can't mask the damage the BSI have brought on British speedway, Taking away Friday and Saturday nights has killed some clubs and we must never forget that. GP riders are paid a pittance and it's up to clubs to subsidize them, The sooner they disappear out of our sport, the better. Triple.H.
Berwick Though if BSI were serious about spreading the word have all 4 rounds in a decent stadium with a temporary track in Spain with dirt cheap tickets to attract the locals or any other European country with little/no speedway heritage. Haza
The question has been asked where it will be held but I wonder what week it will be held as Cardiff GP is when the World Cup usually starts
racers and royals
Philip Rising has said that BSI/FIM are thinking about re-instating the World pairs in which case the pairs and the SWC would run alternate years. With 7 teams in the pairs you probably wouldn`t need a qualifier just a straight final. I hope not. The SWC is generally one of the highlights of the season.
nw42
I hope not. The SWC is generally one of the highlights of the season. Agreed but so far it's certainly had the shine taken off it this year, the first 2 meetings haven't exactly inspired, maybe tonights GB victory will light the touchpaper and turn it into another memorable tournament. The venue for tonight and the final isn't exactly a mouthwatering prospect either but you never know....

Ghostwalker
Highly unlikely but I would love to see the RO and Final at Kumla. Quite a large track but usually provides very good racing. They should also remove the seeding of the host to the final and while they're at it, remove the joker and the tactical sub.
SCB
Has to be in Sweden or the UK as embarrassingly both have to qualify.
flagrag
I understand that Sweden have to qualify but not GB as all teams that reach race off are straight in the following year.
uk_martin
If done on a rota basis then GB and Denmark are in with a shout. If BSI nee to recoup losses made from poor attendances this yeat then Poland is the only option. Kind of hope it might be in Latvia though. And don't say they don't deserve it. Pretty sure the attendances at Czestochowa,Kings Lynn and Prague do not impact BSI directly-as they sell the rights to hold the meetings to the various tracks for a fee. Maybe but I would have thought that if BSI / Monster are doing the promotion that they will want a share of the receipts as well.

NOT true ... KL and Prague are joint promotions with BSI and the tracks involved.
