Agrotron
Was reading a topic on the Poole forum which I thought would be interesting to see if they are in the minority, Does your club allow you to pay by card to get into a meeting? Graham C
Birmingham - Yes. You can pay by Card "On the night" or in advance by phoning the Advance Booking Line on 01564 782489. (I would advise users to check the official Brummies website first as there is an alternative number also available). Birmingham make NO additional charges for Paying By Card and actually offer a 10% Discount (I think) if you use the Advance Booking Line. Agrotron
Reason for raising this point is I believe groups of people have turned away from Poole because they wanted to pay with card to get in and Poole do not except cards unbelievable for a top end club, simply cannot afford to turn people away these days. Amazed despite fans calling for one they still don't have a Online fan shop I mean Eastbourne have one for goodness sake, extra revenue lost once again do Poole have a problem marketing or something. Rob B
Most clubs you can't pay by card, as with most things speedway, living in the dark ages!
mikebv
you see the thing is with cards is that there is a clear trace of who paid what and when... now with good old cash......

Backless
Even if there is any truth in the lightly veiled suggestion, it would only make any difference if & when the vast majority of fans turned up with plastic in their hands. Even then, the amounts involved would mean hefty bank charges & hire charges for the (portable) kit & infrastructure to process payments. Much more fun though to blame the promoters, make snide remarks, and blather about "the dark ages".
