tyke
It's amazing what one team can do with one world class rider and a load of team spirit - Watch and learn GB
waiheke1
I reckon they should bring in a rule that if a team has not used their joker they should be allowed to use it in heat 20 regardless of the score. Would make things a little less unfair on a team in latvias position but still fulfil the aims of current system and actual increase the chances of a ladz head decider
brandonbee48
So, objectively, after 16 heats , in world speedway terms, Great Britain is on a par with Latvia. BSPA take a bow Alan.

TheReturn
The joker rule is pathetic, speedway should be about winning races, not allow a team to benefit by deliberately dropping points. Pearson is not doing much to hide his love of the US team tonight. God help us if they do win.

John Leslie
Good to see the bloke who is running an Academy to make himself a few quid bring on the British riders (and indeed has his academy promoted on the BSPA website) is there in his American team colours cheering on the US riders. ...when's the next series of Rogue Traders? BSPA take a bow Alan. well technically no, we are not that good.. we got a free two points with the joker so really we are two behind the mighty 'latvinans' (as kelvin likes to call them).. .
Villain
Unfortunately we resemble the national football team. They all think they're good but in reality they're crap. With the exception of one or two.
screm
The one big positive from tonight for Team GB is that Ben Barker is not, never has been nor ever will be international class.
blueherb777
I knew the World Cup this year was a joke (with Czechs in Final) but now we are seeing more jokes - JOKERS.
Robbie B
SWC should be four man team with a reserve who can come in at any time to replace a rider and NO JOKER which makes it a farce Edited July 18, 2013 by Robbie B

noggin
Only just tuned in, what dork takes out our 2nd best rider for a joker with a race with hancock, ht 15 surely was the place for it, another cack team performance, by riders and management alike.
brandonbee48
Re Barker's "tactics" isn't there a rule somewhere in the book about not making a genuine effort to race, and shouldn't he have been excluded? I can recall Rick Miller being the only rider left in a race, pulling wheelies all four laps, and being excluded 'for not making a genuine effort to race" though he was the only one in the heat.
