Tonshel
Think we got to realise we not in a position to win WTC anytime soon. We need to take a step back and accept we wont qualify for any finals . Lets bring the young uns through and build a team around Tai. The GB v Aus test series would have been an ideal way but our riders wont progress by riding against others from same League, they need testing against better opposition. Lets take them to Poland, Sweden or even Latvia for a test match or two. Drop the usual suspects even if they talk a good match.
mothorsen
Australia won it; surely no shocker. But USA number two, then Latvia and GB last?! Not in a million years would I've brougt that bet to the bookies. Manzares deserves an Oscar for his absolutely convincing performance, but as long as it is allowed, and the joker is there, it came as no surprise. In fact the States would have been stupid not to. I dont't approve of anti-riding, but it was their only shot at leveling with Oz. But an exiting meeting as everyone were close a long way. Woz01
Despite being a commited team man sad to say we've seen the best of the bomber too . Top bloke but on the downgrade for me Although i think he isnt the rider he was a couple of years back thats a bit harsh. Scored the same as Batch and the ride Middlo replaced him with was a shocking decision!
RPNY
Couldnt agree more bluebee. If they are going to make noise on Twitter rtc like they are great they need to start acting and performing like it. The Danes last year, inexperienced and youg, found the set ups and raised their game. Doyle and Cam tonight, the Russians last year, Latvians tonight, list goes on and I'm winding myself up now so will stop! But the fact is, that spot in the final was there for the taking tonight and we chocked massively. AGAIN.
Dornier
Didn`t understand taking Bomber out and putting Tai in what was that all about ? Middlo`s motivational skills are zero ! I would have kept Cooky in along with Danny King. It was a total disaster but will anybody in authority care ?
noggin
We didn't just come last, we did it by using a Joker too, the Latvians didn't, did they have muddlos book of management skills by mistake.
Gavan
the buck stops with the bspa and our useless team manager. Tai, Nicholls, Harris, King. that's 4 riders that in all probability would have got us through, so the reasons they are not there are down to the bspa and Muddlo. To pick Kennett when 99% of the speedway world knew he shouldn't be there was shocking. Rightfully gives Cook his chance then dumps him on the scrapheap. Then replaces our 2nd best rider to put Tai in on a joker against the best rider of the night in Hancock!!! Does he actually watch the meeting? We have no team spirit whatsoever and that buck stops at the managers door. Im an Ipswich fan and we all know Barker isn't liked by Bridger and Woffy so don't pick him!!!!!!!! I don't really think anybody would have got us through but surely the situation would have been better handled. Time to do the honourable thing Middlo and walk. Go back to Poole where you don't have to worry about English spirit I mean you even bombed out a young brit not even giving him a chance. Get Rosco and Havvy in there for a bit of knowledge and to put fire in the boys bellies
hyderd
Have to agree with the majority on here tonight, team GB needs a big shake up. Out should go Midlo, and all the over the hill riders, I'v never been a fan of Rosco but he does wear his colours close to his heart. Tai could and should lead a team of young Brits and bond them all into great chums who love to race have fun but more importantly have the winning attitude, then in 3 or 4 years time we could/might have a bunch of riders who ride as a team and have fun doing it especially when they all stand on the victors podium together. Tai Woffy Richie Worrell Ashley Birks Adam Ellis Kyle Howarth Jason Garity All riders for the future who with the right guidance and backing can start to turn the corner for team GB. scottyfan
I personally don't think Neil is that good a team manager at Poole either........, How many times has he let a rider who has scored three last places, take his fourth programmed ride instead of replacing him with a reserve who IS scoring points....last season he did it virtually every week with Masters and Kling...Bet Rosco or Havvy (just to use them as an example) wouldn't !!! noggin
The thing i find pathetic is the likes of woodward wells fisher etc, who ride in this country can get there machinery to work on big fast tracks better than Barker and Bridger,
Rico
I guess it would be rude, as a Monarchs fan, not to thank Middlo for dropping Cookie tonight. Got the Monarchs a draw with his maximum. Time to stand down, some absolutely crazy decisions made both in selection and tactics overall. To finish last in that meeting tonight is an utter disgrace and it has to be time to go. jimmy jimmy
Without joker points, GB got 26 points, 3 behind Latvia. Bridger is better than his performance tonight, not sure Ben Barker is better than he showed. We are eighth best nation, and the fact Latvia shows better than us? Take a look at yourselves lads, tattoo a bit less, practice a bit more
noggin
Trouble we have in this country is too many small to medium sized tracks, nothing to really compare with tracks likely to be used in the world cup.
moomin man 76
A truly abject performance from Team GB. Finishing behind Australia may not be any disgrace, but to finish behind both the United States and Latvia is. Lets be frank, we've finished behind a team that is essentially a one man band (United States), in which one top class rider inspired his team-mates to score the odd point here and there. We've also effectively finished behind a Polish Division One side, Lokomotiv Daugavpils, minus Joonas Kylmakorpi. That's right, a country (Latvia) with one track and around twelve registered riders, but plenty of team spirit. That's how far Great Britain has sunk in world speedway terms. The current Great Britain set up is a shambles; there's one world class rider (Tai) who learnt his speedway in Australia; Harris who's never learnt to gate and is on the way down (he isn't even in the Top 20 Elite League Averages); Barker who's all mouth and no substance and Bridger who at least tried but was unsurprisingly left wanting. Neither of the latter are in the Top 20 Elite League Averages either. Whilst all this is happening, Cook roles in yet another paid 15 maximum at Redcar for Edinburgh. Prague was always likely to be a gate and go track, so we patently pick three riders who cannot gate and leave behind a rider who may be inexperienced in world terms but can at least gate.
Chalkie
Ah well, at least we've now got a Speedway APPG in the Commons-that should do the trick!
g13webb
Bearing in mind, We were 6 point down after only 2 heats, we didn't do to bad in the other 18..

I did see his tweet using Rico's kids though - I thought that was especially poor, but he didn't seem bothered Sad...
BluPanther
The Poles and Danes will dominate the World Cup for many years to come, as they have talented youngsters in abundance, and existing World class riders in their ranks. Its a grim future for GB imo...
