oldtimer
If a rider has a Premier League fixture on the same night as an Australia V Britain test match series, for which he would normally be selected, which takes priority, his League Club or the Test Match? MattK
16.1 Fixtures shall take priority as follows: FIM Speedway Grand Prix FIM Speedway World Cup FIM SGP Qualifying Meetings FIM Junior Speedway World Championship Meetings British Championships (Senior, Junior) BSPA Shared and Fee Events Elite League Competitions Premier League Competitions National League Competitions Others However, given these are little more than meaningless international friendlies I would have thought the rider wouldn't be selected for the meeting. You are no doubt correct but how was it that Craig Cook raced for Edinburgh 10 days ago when he was also programmed for Belle Vue at Lakeside? Not meant to be a sarcastic query but not he first time I've seen this with R/R used by the Elite League side whilst the programmed rider was in a PL match at the same time. In terms of the 220 things which need sorting in British Speedway that has to be number 1. Edited July 15, 2013 by Mr Ore
KevL
If a rider is doubling up like cook the premier league fixture takes preference, unless the original fixture has been cancelled in any form and if the re-staging date clashes with Bellevue it then becomes which team had the fixture in the calendar 1st

It does seem to contradict fixture priority as per 16.1 though.

In sports that regard themselves as MAJOR, internationals (if official) always have priority over domestic competitions. Speedway should be no different.
