The Terminator Joins Scunthorpe

Recommended Posts

Haven't seen it posted elsewhere in the PL section, so sorry if it is but Nicolai Klindt tweeted the other day that he has signed for Scunthorpe. He repaces Mchael Palm Toft in the Scorpions team.

This season Nic has been well below what he is really capable of and in the EL for Kings Lynn and then Peterborough he has been averaging just over three points a meeting and seen his average of 6.58 in 2011 slip to 5.68 in 2012 and now down to 4.14.

Now with a young child, Nic bases himself in Wolverhampton and admits its more a problem in his head than anything and if he can get among the points in the Premier League, his confidence will return and you could see the talent that made him one of Denmarks top young riders just a few years ago and featured in the World Team Cup.

Good Luck to Nic and hope Scunthorpe get to see the real rider we Wolves fans know he can be whenhe is on form.

Yes. Michael Palm Toft has been released. Think he just stepped in as a last minute change maybe due to Ashley Birks sustaining an injury whilst guesting for Leicester on Saturday night.

All the best to Nicolai Klindt at Scunthorpe. Might even head back up there at some point for a nosey. I was really looking forward to seeing him race for the Stars this year, but sadly that didn't last too long! I hope he gets his mojo back and returns to the top flight at some point. He's a far better rider than what he has been this season. Least he's prepared to admit he thinks his problem is a psychological one!

It may well have been announced on Friday - always a pretty dumb thing to do (see every signing that isn't completed or re declaration that isn't approved) - but until the team is re declared & approved, Palm Toft was / is still in the Scunthorpe 1-7.

As far as "the Terminator" is concerned, Scunthorpe will hope he puts in a bit more effort than he did guesting on a northern tour for Rye House (?) last year.

Apologies for confusing under-achieving journeyman Scandinavians. I look forward to GP standard performances which will aid future differentiation.

Klindt did pretty well guesting for us at Plymouth a couple of weeks ago. Three heat wins, including a vital 5-1 with Anders Mellgren in heat 15. He's also guesting for the Rockets on Saturday in the Glasgow/Sheffield double header

The move was already approved - it just takes three days until the new 1-7 takes effect, which is why Tofty could ride at Peterborough in the meantime.

Mind you, as you can't even tell riders of a different nationality apart, I can see why you might have some problems understanding this.

Backless, have you never filmed Nicolai Klindt at Berwick or Sheffield?

All the best

Rob Peasley
